From Rosevear Tea

Pure green gunpowder tea from China with natural spearmint (no artificial flavouring). This tea was introduced to the court of the Warrior Sultan Ismail Ibn Sharif by Europeans in the early 18th century. Locally grown mint was added to produce the ideal thirst quenching drink for the desert kingdom of Morocco.

Great combination of flavours. The green tea pairs very nicely with the spearmint. There is a slight dull bitter edge but I think that is just part of the characteristic of the gunpowder tea. I really appreciate being able to taste the green tea properly in this blend- nice to see the actual tea able shine in this brew. The slight savoury smokiness of the gunpowder lends a very nice quality.
