2007 Changtai Nannuo Wild Arbor Pu-erh Cake Tea (茶壶陈 南糯野生青饼)
Back in 2005, Changtai Tea Group was in its heydays. It was promoted as a premium tea company by a number of Hongkong and Taiwan merchants.
This tea cake, named after Changtai owner Mr. Chen, was made by using Nannuo mountain materials that many considered as the most easy to drink for its aroma and taste.

I gaiwan brewed this one with short infusions and I have to agree with the vendor description that this one is easy to drink due to its aroma and taste, as the tea comes off as light and sweet with a medium body and a semi floral taste. Although in terms of storage it is still very green as it is hard to believe that this tea is 5 years old.
Nice sweet sheng with deeper oak notes. This one reminds me being in a forest of recently harvested trees after a rain shower. Its like inhaling the dampness and being refreshed by the clean air, with the extra aromatic fragrance of the sawdust. Great cup of warmth and memories.
