From Nothing But Tea

Sakura is another name for Cherry Blossom. In Japan it is the basis for the Hanami (a festival – Hanami is the practise of picking under a Sakura tree. Every year the Japanese track the Sakura front as it starts in Okinawa and travels north to Hokkaido.

The blossoms symbolise clouds and are considered a metaphor for the ephemeral nature of life.

The aroma of the dry leaf smells very much like cherry with a hint of artificial aroma.
