This is not bitter or harsh like some mints. And the oolong provides a creamy background. Like Laura said in her note, like the creamy center of a peppermint patty. And this is naturally sweet. No sugar for this one.

This is the last of my stash – that is before I pack it up and send it over to Cofftea. :)
An earthy mint indeed…sure helps me breathe on this cold winter day! YUM.

Madison Bartholemew

I was wondering how that was!

Not a huge fan of flavored teas in general, but this is nice.

Cofftea

I’d like to try this one because my journey w/ loose leaf started w/ adding a crap load of mint to oolong.

This oolong is fragrance-infused and does actually have any pieces of fresh mint amongst the oolong fists. Yet it somehow offers a nice fresh mint taste. I loved the way the intense mint flavor combined with the creamy mouthfeel of the Alishan to remind of the creamy center of a peppermint patty.

This mint flavor of this tea is quite different. I’m used to the dried mint found in most teas and steeped fresh mint leaves. The flavor of this tea is akin to those red striped peppermint candies. You get a blast of peppermint that hits your throat and leaves a tingly minty/menthol sensation in your mouth. The strong mintiness overpowers the flavor of the oolong too much for my liking. My least favorite of NaiveTea’s infused oolongs.
