From Murchie's Tea & Coffee

Nourishes your body… replenishes your energy… warms your soul! Oolong tea leaves are dipped in ginseng powder, hand rolled and then dry roasted in woks.

The Oolong leaves provide a floral, orchid like aroma and wonderful sweetness, while the ginseng adds a subtle tartness. In addition, the health benefits associated with the ginseng herb and tea makes an excellent choice to fight off the winter blahs.

De-cupboarding this tea. It was a quite a unique tea when I first purchased it, but now it looks like all the tea companies are jumping on the bandwagon and offering it. I liked ginseng oolong before it was cool. /hipster post ;D

Backing off the steeping time a bit seems to bring out a bit more of the oolong’s sweetness with the herbal ginseng notes a nice undertone to each sip. The tea keeps its flavour nicely through multiple steep too, although the ginseng fades after the first couple.

From the BC/Vacation Haul.

First cup of the day! I’ve been working on tasting notes, but I’m caught up now so I feel less guilty steeping something up now.

This isn’t really anything new to me or particularly unique; I just wanted a Ginseng Oolong on hand for a while since it’s been some time and I generally like the flavour profile. Plus, not gonna lie something about those moss green stone/pebble looking tea leaves just makes me whimsically/childishly happy. I like that this doesn’t overwhelm me with the sweetness of ginseng though; just teases me with it. Also, it’s pretty grassy which is totally enjoyable too.

Basically, it’s what I want from it. So no complaints.
