A beautiful and hard to source tea made from Pu Erh buds. Picked from the ancient Ye Sheng Assamica Dehongensis Purple trees in Yunnan province. These trees are naturally rich in Anthocyanins to give a dark purple hue to the leaves and a light purple to the liquor.

Arguments may rage about whether or not we can technically call this tea a PuErh but since it comes from the Assamica trees in Yunnan and it does undergo sun drying we are throwing it reluctantly into this tea category. Currently there is no official category for Purple tea and in any case this is produced in a completely different way to the Purple tea being made in Kenya.

These Dehongensis tea buds come from ancient and wild Ye Sheng tea trees which are quite powerfully astringent and bitter but once the tea is processed and sun dried it chages to become sweeter and delicious

Slight blueberries and a forest of pine trees and fallen pine needles and leaves. Very relaxing.
