Tale of the dream matcha.
I like this. I like this alot.

Please note that white tea AND white chocolate are two of my favorite things so I might be biased.
Actually, if you relatively friend me through various websites by now you have noticed how clear it is that I love
and am addicted to those two things.

As I was browsing through Red Leaf’s website (with a digital free matcha coupon in equally digital hands) I had the spiffy idea to acquire
the dream matcha. Something that just really (albeit narcissically) tells about me. Additionally, I also wanted something that tastes incredibly
right. Red Leaf seems to do that proficiently. I have not to date tasted any of their matchas that I did not like.
They are a growing brand that happens to be able to produce a white matcha.

Aptly. I did not feel a huge difference between the original and the white matcha, but the color. Be prepared to drink something that
is ash grey. I am totally okay with that.
The taste is something more thirst-quenching and creamy, as white tea usually is. With a touch of malt.
It is also quite sweet but least not forget I chose the white chocolate flavoring. The rendering of the white chocolate is pretty true.
It tastes like the Lindt white chocolate bar with the mousse center. I know, I cannot make a review without the use of some sort of analogy
or reference to some product. Bad, bad me. But I am just trying to efficiently get you to understand how perfect and awesome this is.
This needs to be turned into a fluffy, frothy and light milk/soy shake, asap.

and and and… You should get it.

From the LiberTEAS sampler I bought a while back

Threw one of these together after my workout today – a little over a cup of whole (organic) milk, about a cup of crushed ice cubes, two-ish tsp of raw sugar and 1/2 tsp of matcha.

Although I’ll admit to loving the caramel and being quite enamoured with the french vanilla…this might be my one true matcha. The flavour is quite true to the inspiration – I can taste the layers of chocolate over the matcha – and it mixed marvelously with the milk…this is absolutely amazing and I’m going to be so very sad when I run out.

Delicious, delightful and definitely worth re-stocking.

Got a sample of this one from another Steepster. I’m very new to matchas, and I drank this one as a latte. It was tasty, but I don’t think I’m going to become addicted to matchas like I am other types of tea!

I’m continuing my matcha journey with White Chocolate Matcha! And you can find it here:

http://www.redleaftea.com/matcha-tea/white-chocolate-matcha.html

Mm this matcha smells pretty good! It smells like melted white chocolate. Like I left a candy bar in my hot car and it melted in the wrapper. Lately I’ve been taking my matcha to work in my tumbler so it was really nice to have a big, frothy bowl sitting in front of me.
This is a really creamy matcha. But for some reason I’m not really getting the white chocolate flavor. It tastes like a matcha cupcake with a smooth frosting. I really like the semi-sweetness of the white chocolate along with the sweetness of the matcha. Usually, to me, the matcha has a slight bitter aftertaste (not a bad thing). I feel like the white chocolate just kind of smooths that out. I really like how this is working out! It’s nice and delicate. But next time I think I might go for the “distinctive” flavor option instead of the “delicate” and see how much of a difference it makes.. I would recommend this to anyone just starting out with matcha! It keeps the matcha flavor and smooths out the slight bitterness. I’ll leave you the link again:

So, yesterday I saw something about a company making a sparkling matcha beverage.

I pretty much knew I needed to make some variation of my own.

So, a can of seltzer, some sugar free white chocolate torani and a concentrated matcha mixture later, here we are.

It’s actually pretty good. It’s generally creamy and sweet. The matcha flavoring is definitey coming across as cream and white chocolate, so yum to that! There’s actually a floral component here too that I sometimes miss in lattes. It reminds me of pure cocoa butter. Overall, a very successful venture.

I’m thinking this would be an amazing Italian soda, so I’ll have to guinea pig that on Husband later.

Ahhhh…to whom do I owe a debt of grattitude?
I cannot remember….
1 scoop Coconut Matcha + 1 scoop White Chocolate Matcha= Pure Heaven
I only THOUGHT I loved the coconut before.
Adding the white chocolate to the coconut (especially in whole milk…hehehe)
Makes this an unbelievably creamy coconut drink.
Thank you for this recipe dear one :-)
I haven’t tried the white chocolate on its own yet,
& I may not for awhile…I have dreams of mixing it in a blender with some fruit.
If you like the coconut…do yourself a flavor and try it like this ;-)

Actually, I see this flavor being an awesome conduit for many shake
and smoothie….this is divine.

Oh BTW…using distinctive flavoring all the way…

I woke up today with a pounding headache that just wont quit; thank God I don’t have work today. The upstairs tenants (my landlord, his daughter, and his girlfriend) are in the house for the day working on their renovations (they’re not living here atm – but come in every few afternoons to work on things), and for a while they were vacuuming which was killing my head, and now his daughter is playing really, really loud rock music. I can’t actually hear the words, but I can “hear/feel” the bass line and it’s like a drill to my temple.

I’ve also reached the daily limit on Tylenol/painkillers – so looks like I’m just going to have to wait it out. Ughh.

Anyway, I’m finally trying this matcha in cold milk – something I’ve wanted to do for a while but haven’t gotten to for various reasons, work being the primary one. I have to say it’s so much better than just shaken into cold water.

I have to say this has an additional thick, creamy richness that mildly reminds me of white chocolate; however it’s a little weak (still better than the cold water). I don’t one hundred percent feel I’d know this was white chocolate flavoured if I was blindly drinking it. Though I think I’d be aware it wasn’t straight milk, too. I also know this is delicate level flavoring though, so perhaps at distinctive this would really shine?

And at least it’s not grassy.

I really want to try this at a hot latte – maybe it’d be sort of like a white hot chocolate? A really, really rich and creamy white hot chocolate.

So yeah – overall thoughts and feelings are that this is good and could possibly be made better if ordered at a stronger flavouring, but probably not something I want to reorder (even at that higher flavour level) because I’m not sure the risk is worth the potential payoff. I have/have tried far better matcha flavours and I want my first official order to both incorperate totally new flavours and familiar favourites.

I also have a splitting headache. I’m blaming it on the bizarre AB weather. The constant drastic fluctuations wreak havoc on my head. I’m getting a coffee to see if a burst of caffeine helps.

Sami Kelsh

Headache bad. I hope it goes away and you feel better and everything. cuddles and blankets

Marzipan

I bet it would be great with some raspberries in it.

Stephanie

I’ve had a headache a lot lately due to allergies. Sinuses are whack.

CelebriTEA

I am going to have to try this soon~ I love white chocolate and the raspberries
WOW sounds super yummy :-)
