This is a backlog from yesterday… forgot to log this tea! This one comes to me thanks to Alphakitty!

This is a blend of a medium-dark oolong, a jasmine green, and almond flavor. I’ve never had a blend quite like this before, but it sounded intriguing! Fortunately, upon brewing it did not smell like pot to me (see Kittenna’s tasting note), but just like a roasty dark oolong with a few light sweet notes to it. Not super floral, and no flavor really took over in this blend. It was like a nice nutty oolong with some sweetness from the almond and a little bit of jasmine. It all blended rather well. I quite enjoyed this one!

This is definitely a unique blend, I’ve never seen another like it!

This is kind of like liquid patchouli. At least that’s the first thought I had when I smelled it and when I sipped it. For a more masculine tea this is pretty good. I’d agree in saying it’s a unique blend of Green and Oolong! Not bad!

Ehm… I drank through this cup quite quickly as I’m writing an email and it was just sitting there…

Nobody else has written a tasting note on this one, so I don’t know if I’m the only one making this association, but the flavour of this tea totally reminded me of pot. Not that I have any experience whatsoever, but… that is the overwhelming association I made. Perhaps slightly influenced by smelling that deliciously intoxicating (read: vile) aroma while running earlier tonight.

Anyways, I enjoyed it regardless, so thanks for the sample Alphakitty! I’d like to know what you thought of it :)

Haha, I don’t think this one reminded me of pot (which I smelled a LOT of when dorming) but I get the association. It’s an odd combo: black & green teas with almond and jasmine, it evokes a lot of different things. I could have sworn I wrote a note for it… guess not!

Kittenna

Haha, yeah, the second cup still gives me the same association. I can tell it’s tea, but I feel like someone could confuse me if they wafted this under my nose randomly! I’m in a uni neighborhood in a rather “liberal”/hippie city…. sigh.

a dark oolong (i think imo) with jasmine and almond from the Traveling Tea Box!
now listen, again, i have sealed the box up and i weighed it before i took anything from it and after i was done.
and it went from 2.72 lbs to 2.93 lbs.
so TeaEqualsBliss better feel comfortable with removing lots of tea from the thing if she plans to add any. haha
and i’ll do better next time. i’m pretty sure. at least i hope.

this tea IS a weird one! wow i had no idea. it sounds so different. i mean i read the taste profile and it sounds one way, but it tastes like shoes. in a good way! it tastes like shoes in a good way!
you drink tea, you know what i mean.
maybe it’s the green mixing with the oxidized oolong? i don’t really know what i’m talking about. we all know that.

tea drinkers: we’ll drink something like your shoes.

Another from the traveling tea box! Thanks for including it, Alphakitty! This one is such a different mixture! Oolong, jasmine and almond! Honestly, I think these flavors combine to make its own flavor. I couldn’t really pick the elements out of this one. It’s very different from any other tea I’ve had! The nearest thing it reminds me of is probably darjeeling, even though they are two very different types of tea.
