I can see how this can be appealing to some due to the boost of energy that comes packed with it; however, I had to force myself to drink it. Maybe I brewed it improperly (200 F at 3 minutes), but it was very bitter.

Usually I do 185F for 3ish min for mate . Hope that helps!

Although I am not a huge fan of mate, I have to say that I enjoyed this one. It was roasty, not at all bitter or astringent, and had a sweet nutty flavor to it.
