This one didn’t taste great plain, but once I added milk, I enjoyed it more. It’s difficult to nail down what flavor it’s going for. It’s fruity and tasty, but I wouldn’t get it again. The fruit is maybe orange or apple. The rooibos is decent.

Adventaggedon Day 13: Tea 6/8

I don’t know if this tea had me feeling zen but it definitely had me feeling happy as I was responding to emails this morning and gleefully sipping away at my mug of it. Kusmi really hit the flavour descriptors right on the nose because this tastes like a more fruit dominant mix of sweet orange, juicy red apple with an almost candied-like edge to it, and subtle caramel. It’s a very nice balance between fruity and decadent even with the fruit notes being more pronounced. I also liked the sort of natural honeyed hazelnut/nutty flavour of the rooibos too. Really, it just all clicked.

I would buy this again! In fact, it might be the first tea from Kusmi’s advent so far that isn’t a white tea that I’m genuinely considering stocking up on.

Kusmi Advent Calendar – Day 13

Lol, this sachet wrapper is so vague. It says something like “blend of herbs” instead of mentioning rooibos by name, which is odd. Dry scent is deliciously orange, yum.

I like the orange flavor here, it’s a good balance between sweet and zesty and it doesn’t taste artificial or like vitamin tablets. I get a little bit of caramel, but most of it is just coming from the rooibos itself. There’s a little taste of apple as well. I definitely don’t get lemon balm though.

Overall, I like it. I don’t think I like it quite enough to order it, but I’m really enjoying this one cup tonight. :)

Advent Day 13

Rooibos, orange, other vague flavors. It tastes like every other rooibos with orange I’ve tried. There was nothing that stood out about it.

Kusmi Advent Day 13
This smells strongly of rooibos…not a good sign for me. The rooibos tastes as strongly as it smells. A bit of a fruity caramel thing going on, but the rooibos flavor is so distracting. Overall, just not a tea for me.
