From Kusmi Tea

This tea comes from a plantation in the southeast of Sri Lanka and is famous for its long leaves, distinguishing it from other Ceylon teas, which generally have small leaves. In contrast to other Asian countries, tea-growing in Sri Lanka, previously known as Ceylon, is a relatively recent phenomenon dating from the 19th century.

This tea has a fully bodied flavor featuring subtle chocolate flavors. May be enjoyed with a dash of milk in the morning.
We suggest to enjoy this tea in the morning.
Main flavor: Unflavored

This was included as sample with my Kusmi order. It was a cloth bagged tea.

It was fine. Smooth and light. This is one of the only Ceylons I’ve had that I know of for sure. Not sure they will overtop Assams for me, but it was nice.

I had this teabag in my stash and decided to give it a go. I have found that I actually really enjoy ceylon teas. It was light and bright, perfectly airy for sitting in my (cold ac’d) office on a sunny day.

As an aside, I truly love steepster and am happy to be back.

Convince me. I’ve never been impressed with Ceylon teas, but I know that’s too broad-brush a statement to make. I guess I just haven’t met the right one yet. What do you like/recommend?

Ellyn

Thanks all for the warm wishes!

Hillel: I don’t think that Ceylon teas are my favorites (I prefer blends) I will look through my notes and see if there are any that I really recommend…
