From Kally Tea

Satisfaction! That’s the feeling that comes to mind while sipping on this berry delight. We start off with a mix of phenomenal honeybush and Rooibos, and then delicately mix in safflowers and marigolds, and just as you would think that’s enough, we take the taste buds to a whole new level by adding strawberry and raspberries with a kick of chocolate to finish! Satisfaction!

Ingredients: Honeybush, Rooibos, Safflowers, Marigolds with Strawberry, Raspberry and Chocolate Flavor.

Last tea of the evening. I figured i should stick with one of the rooibos teas that i’ve had for a bit longer than the others. I still enjoy this one though i think i’d much rather drink the toffee and cream version from Kally tea. Just not enough chocolate in this one though there is enough “berry” taste.

Another LONG, in the best way possible, day. Well that’s not true. I had a job interview that kindof went nowhere but after that, my day was indeed spectacular. Hanging out with Sil for a little bit, and then Raritea… oh man could it get any better?! Well it could have been I suppose if all my tea peeps were there. One day. I’ll do a tea tour of North America visiting all the shops and Steepsterites. Hey a tea lover can dream right?

Anyhow, this tea is pretty darn good! I get alot of berry and a hint of chocolate. A little creaminess, in that chocolate kinda way but without the chocolate flavour. mmmmm good.
I do wish there was a whole lot more chocolate of course.
OK I am falling asleep now. Pencils down folks.

Backlog:

The first couple of sips of this was kind of lackluster … all I was really tasting was the rooibos and honeybush base … where’s the chocolate? Where’s the berry. And where was the chocolate? (Yeah, I asked about the chocolate twice. That’s because I’d like there to be twice as much chocolate.)

After a couple of sips, the berry notes began to present themselves. A sweet and tart berry note. Not enough chocolate for my liking. Like I said, twice as much chocolate would be good. That is, it would be a good start. But if you really want to make this chocoholic happy, double up on the doubling up of the chocolate. Remember, more chocolate = better.

Always. There is no exception to this rule.

Yeah, I had ONE Kally tea once and there were definitely missing ingredients!

1.25 tablespoons for 375ml of water

Sweet maple and tomato notes in the aroma. I can smell the slight smokiness of the honeybush aroma. The scent reminds me a bit of the berry smell in a boxed berry oatmeal.

The tomato-like scent does transfer a little bit in the taste. Chocolate flavour present near the end of the sip. Faint berry flavour which compliments the blend quite well.

Thanks to Indigobloom and Sil for sharing this with me.

This is pretty muted; I’m picking up some general berry but that’s about it. Probably age-related.
