Purple Leaf Sheng (Raw) Puerh (the “Purple” aspect is only in the final dried leaf appearance)
Region: Bulang Mountains near Lao Ma Er
Type: Mid-Altitude Puerh (1200-1300 meters)
Harvest: Late Autumn 2015
Harvesters: Bulang minority
Broad flavours and long tannin notes in the mouth, while retaining some classic vegetal tang. Locals laud Purple Leaf for heart health and blood pressure issues.

No flaws, but nothing interesting either. Decent, basic sheng. Purple tea is supposed to have lots of cha qi, but I didn’t notice any here.
