From iHeartTeas

A perfect summer treat without all the sugar. A slightly sweet and tart blend. Wonderful hot or cold. Add a touch of raw sugar or honey for the perfectly balanced cup.

Ingredents: apple pieces, hibiscus flowers, rose hips, strawberries, lemon, flavorings

This blend was inspired and created for a friend and available to you as well. Enjoy!

I cold brewed about 2 tbsp of this in 2 cups of water in the fridge overnight.

The taste is somewhat tart and berry-like. The tartness is definitely moreso of the lemony variety and not hibiscus, which would probably make a lot of people happy! Unfortunately though, I’m tasting the medicinal rooibos flavour that I’m not a big fan of, and that’s kind of ruining it for me. It’s still drinkable though, so anyone who doesn’t have that same association with rooibos would probably love it! Still need to try it hot before completely giving up though.

I received a sample of this tisane with the last order that I placed with iHeartTeas (thanks Rachel!) – the label ingredients does not list rooibos, but I could see the rooibos in there and the website lists rooibos.

This is tasty. The strawberry flavor sweet and tart – with the tartness further emphasized by the lemon notes. It is more tart than sweet … and tart is not my favorite kind of flavor, but, I’m still enjoying this.

Not bad … not my favorite lemonade type tisane, but, it’s agreeable.

Very refreshing! My cup was just right. A perfect mix between lemonade and rooibos. Not my most preferred flavour though, so while I am thrilled to have tried it I won’t be buying more than that for now. It’d be worth picking up another sample down the road one day. I think it’d be perfect for serving iced to guests on a patio, if I ever had one… on a hot summer day!

I’m using a number randomizer to pick teas to drink out of the ones I haven’t tried yet. Of course it picked one I just got but I’m not going to argue with it, I will drink. Strawberry lemonade naturally makes sense cold, and I had just enough ice cubes to make myself a glass. I steeped 2 tsp in 4 oz of water until it was as red as a strawberry.

First impression: WAY tart. I added some agave to it, and it was still somewhat tart but bearable. Then I watered it down just a little bit more, and now it’s like drinking a juicy strawberry. I cannot believe how much it tastes like a strawberry. It has a lemon aftertaste too, staying true to its name, but I am loving the strawberry flavor.

I’m so glad that the hibiscus was brought under control for my taste buds that easily. I wish the same could be said for other teas! Not getting much rooibos flavor at all, so it seems kind of like it would take away from the flavors if it was here.

Thanks, Kittenna!

I’m so glad you enjoyed this blend. It’s funny how you needed to experiment with this tea to get it just right for you. This blend is exactly how you describe it to me as well. Being such a temperamental tea I encourage everyone to experiment with it first. Start with no additives with shorter steep time and increase as needed and add sweetner as needed as well. Just like you I’m hoping others find their happy place when making this. The best part is when you do it’s simply amazing. :) I hope you agree.

momo

Oh yeah, I was surprised that was all it took, given the previous cup of tea! I just have a little bit but I am definitely going to order some from you soon! I have two others of yours from Kittenna to try first of course ;D

Glad to hear it. Please let me know if there are any questions you may have. I’d be more than happy help in any way I can. :)

Got some of this from krystaleyn. Thanks for the sample! just enough of this to make s large cup cold brewed. I can taste the tarty hibiscus and the berry. I also taste the rooibos, which doesn’t bother me too much but it seems s bit out of place. And the after taste here seems a bit artificial.

Okay. Added a touch of sugar. Definitely helps the berry pop and makes it quite juicy. Not bad but not my favorite.

Mercuryhime

I don’t think anyone thinks you’re snubbing them just because you don’t comment on the rooibos! I certainly don’t comment all that often and I don’t think people find me offensive…right? And maybe you want to consider putting your disclaimer elsewhere as well. haha I think this one will get lost pretty soon. :)

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

I am glad the touch of sugar did help it pop. I’ve noticed the same. I also enjoyed this cold brewed. Making it that way sort of tames the tartness. Either way, I am glad it still worked out in the long run. :)

Removed it…so you can too.
