Made from upper tea leaves of Orange Pekoe A grades from the regions of Matara and Ratnapura of the island of Ceylon. This exquisite beverage became fashionable for serving at evening “high tea” in English homes at the time of Prime Minister Charles Grey II. The recipe of flavoring the tea with bitter orange (bergamot oil) was originated by the Earl according to a recipe from a Chinese Mandarin.
