From Harrisons & Crosfield Teas Inc.

The finest oolongs come from Taiwan where the rich soil combined with the daily fog produces ideal conditions for growing tea. Processed with an oxidation procedure much shorter than black teas, but longer than green teas, it shares some taste and characteristics of both black and green teas. Oolong teas are known for their exquisite bouquet with a subtle peach-like flavour and fruity aroma. This tea brews to a beautiful amber cup with a strikingly sweet flavour and elegant aroma. Kosher certified for all year and Passover.

Thank you, teawing (who I will always think of as twing), for the sample of this oolong!

The tea leaves are dark, and smell woodsy. 195/3 min. The tea’s liquor, when steeped, is also a dark amber color. The tea is nice and robust. It has a very full flavor. I didn’t find it sweet at all, nor fruitlike in flavor, just that strength in the woodsy taste. It’s simply a solid, enjoyable oolong.

Thanks, teawing!
