This is a very aromatic tea both dry and wet. The rose and bergamot combine to form a rather unique and fruitful partnership, something I had considered to be a potential issue when I was introduced to this blend. One does not need a heaping scoop to get the full flavor and strength from this tea, and as such my supply has lasted quite some time. I find this to be a very refreshing iced tea in the summer, needing nothing else than ice and a pitcher. I am not fond of adding sugar to this tea, as it distorts the intriguing flavor combination.

This is certainly a strong tea – I’d recommend it as a few times a week treat, surrounded by something of lighter body.

Solid earl grey tea for me. I’m not the biggest fan of earl grey teas, but the roses got my attention. I like it, and ocassionally find myself craving this one. The bergamot and rose petals do a pretty good job of taming the harsher edges of the (fairly strong) black tea and make this a satisfying cup.

Very subtle earl grey flavor, the rose adds a great deal to the tea. It is easy to drink this tea

I had not read the tasting notes or anything and the package did not say what was in it, so… it was a complete surprise when I opened it up and smelled the bergamot. I love bergamot and the roses were a nice addition. This was a nice cuppa but I think I like some of the other EG’s a bit more. My favorite is #69 from TeaGschwender. (I have to look up the spelling EVERY time I want to write it!!)

Overboard TTB.

This is a pleasant tea. I haven’t had too many with rose petals before. They do seem to pair well with black tea. It was pleasantly floral and a bit sweet and the base tea was a good complement.

The blend in this tea is a very interesting idea. I am in favor of adding flowers to Earl Grey and rose is a great candidate. Despite the excellent concept the rose present in this particular tea seems too subtle.

The tea liquor is a beautiful dark mahogany when fully steeped and the aroma is intense. The typical strong bergamot fragrance presides punctuated by the delicacies of the rose. The purely aromatic contrasts between the two are delightfully intoxicating. Despite the exciting aroma, the flavor of the tea is a quintessential Earl Grey with little rose. In my opinion the degree to which the rose accents the flavor is so overpowered by the bergamot that it is somewhat disappointing. Overall it is a nice Earl Grey and doesn’t fail to be brisk, acidic, and slightly smoky.

This tastes pretty much like a standard earl grey. Maybe slightly less bitter than usual, but it’s not floral at all. Which is very disappointing to me because rose tea is one of my absolute favorites.

It smells fresh and floral in the bag, and tastes like a standard earl grey brewed. There’s a tiny bit of a rose aftertaste, but it’s so slight it might as well not even be there. I think I’ll try popping a few good rosebuds in with an earl grey next time, because it’ll probably get a better effect than this.

I will begin by saying that Earl Grey is by far my favorite flavored tea, coming in near second would be black teas flavoured with rose petals, so I was expecting to really love this tea.

I was right. It is very, very good. The aroma of the dry leaves, as well as the aroma of the liquor was very “earl grey” . The actual flavor of the tea is not so much earl grey, but a lighter, with subtle rose hints.
