From Harney & Sons

Smooth and full-bodied. Fantastic teas from India and China are combined to create this Breakfast Blend. A wonderful tippy Assam gives it full body that is then smoothed by the rich distinctive flavor of Hao Ya ‘B’ Keemun.

Well, I didn’t like the Breakfast Tea. Did I think Supreme Breakfast would be any better? It wasn’t. Bummer. I’ll stick to Irish Breakfast.

I love a nice full-flavored cuppa in the morning and this fits the bills nicely. There is a hint of smokiness that adds to its appeal. With some milk and sugar its gets me going for the day.

This has been my Monday morning tea for quite a while now and remains one of my favorite teas. Nice touch of smokiness to awaken my senses and providing some additional interest to the assam. Not sure that hubby appreciates the smoke as much as I do, so I typically add a small amount of Harney’s Tower of London to the mix and it is quite lovely.

This is a nice tea to jump start your day with. The boldness of the Assam is smoothed out by the Keemun. The Assam gives the tea a bit maltiness while the Keemun gives a bit of smokiness. This is tea is great on its own without the need for additives. Definitely one of the better breakfast blends I have tried. I often switch between this and Harney and Sons Earl Grey Supreme for my morning brew.

This tea left me unsatisfied, even after an entire box. It’s neither robust nor flavorful or complex, too quiet to drink in the morning or with milk, a touch too bitter to enjoy all day. I much prefer Harney’s “Royal English Breakfast,” which is stronger and richer than this tea, but unfortunately that’s not available loose.
