Genmaicha: is a Japanese style tea that mixes roasted brown rice ,and green tea leaves. This tea has a toasty aroma and green tea taste. It has lower in caffeine than green teas. This is one of the most popular teas at Japanese restaurants. Genmaicha is good with Sushi, Fish sashimi, Japanese style noodle soups, Fish or vegetable tempura or light food; It also is an all-day tea.

I was surprised at the rice to tea ratio of this genmaicha – definitely more rice than I’ve seen before. It turned out more rice-y flavored too!
