From Great Horse Teas

We choose this rare 2013 Yiwu Sheng Cha because unlike many younger sheng this one is very mild and very forgiving to steep. The content is composed of full leaf and yellow, gold and white tips which is what makes the tea a rarity. The unique blend of maocha used is a higher quality and requires more processing steps than more traditional sheng puer. This is a solid everyday drinking pu’er with complex yet subtle earth and honey nuances accompanied by a viscous chalky mouthfeel. The tea even when oversteeped is pleasant to drink and aromatic. The leaves retain their flavor profiles well into the 10th+ steeping. We guarantee the quality of this tea by offering a full refund if not completely satisfied.

I got this sample for review.
Dry leaves are nice, long, smell of hay and slight tobacco
brewed in my yixing pot. 5g/80ml off boil, rinse and very short steeps. I was keeping my lid off between steeps to avoid cooking leaves.
the brew was golden color, medium thickness. Smooth, barely detected any bitterness or astringency. some slight tobacco, honey and citrus. very pleasant and refreshing.
This sheng is very easy to drink and would be perfect for someone new to raw puerh.
it went thru about 10 steeps but unfortunately i was interrupted and had to stop.
Thank you Great Horse Teas for the opportunity to sample this sheng.
