From Gnat and Bee

A bewitching black spicy chai to warm your spirit and ground your soul. You will notice the spices are very fresh, strong and more finely ground in this blend ~ so they infuse quickly into your cup. Makes an excellent tea latte with your favorite milk and a drizzle of maple syrup or honey.

• Crafted with Organic: Black tea, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, black pepper, allspice & vanilla bean.

• Contains caffeine

• Flavor: Balanced, bold, dark and spicy.

• Brewing: Use 1-2 tsp. to infuse one cup. Pour freshly boiled water over the tea and let steep 3-5 minutes. Strain and add milk or sweetener if desired. Enjoy hot or iced.

• Chai Lover’s Tip: Decoction: place 1 tablespoon of tea blend into a pan on the stovetop and add 4-8 ounces of water and 4 ounces of your favorite milk (or milk substitute). Gently simmer for 10 minutes. When finished, strain into your favorite mug and stir in 1 tablespoon sweetener of choice.

Advent tea!
A bit clove heavy for my liking, but a good tea to roust me out of bed and get me in to traveling mode this morning. Its a warming tea, pepper, clove and cardamom, but no ginger. I’d sip this again but wouldn’t seek it out to buy. Thanks Lexie for letting me try it.

Hmm, I really like this one. I bought it as part of a sampler right before Christmas. It came with two herbal blends, this black chai, a jar of wildflower honey, a candle (Scent: Fireplace), and a beautiful piece of handmade pottery – a large and cozy moon mug! I definitely purchased for the mug. Anyway, back to the tea. The base is bold, the spices are flavorful but not spicy. Definitely more of a sweet-spiced chai. One of my favorites from Gnat & Bee so far!
