Description

Description: Big Red Robe is a very important type of WuYi Oolong tea. Legend has it that the mother of a Ming Dynasty emperor was cured of a terminal illness by a certain tea. The emperor sent large red robes to clothe the four bushes from which that tea was harvested. So it is named Big Red Robe. This is a half fermented/oxidized tea. The tightly twisted leaves of Big Red Robe are greenish brown in color. The orange tea comes with a strong floral fragrance. Even after nine infusions, the sweet-scented osmanthus fragrance still remains. After tasting, the flavor will remain on your palate for quite some time. This tea is so good and famous that Chairman Mao gave it as a gift to President Nixon.
