From Farmerleaf

Autumn 2020 raw pu-erh tea, old natural tea gardens

High-pitched fragrance, light bitterness, moderate sweetness

Naka is located in the Mengsong mountain range, North of Menghai. The village has ancient tea gardens and plantations established from the 1980s on. The village has acquired fame since 2010 for delivering both fragrance and short-lived bitterness, as well as a good huigan.

naka localization

We tried four different qualities provided by the farmer and opted for the older natural tea gardens, interestingly, we prefered it over the gushu in a blind tasting. The nice price we got in autumn makes it a good Menghai daily drinker.

It is processed on the greener side and you’ll get good fragrance and minerality. The bitterness is not as present as in its Spring counterpart.
