This is a classic blend of Sri Lanka Ceylon flowery pekoe (FP) black tea. Although usually served in the morning, it is the perfect refreshing and invigorating tea for any time of the day. When brewed the English Breakfast produces a bright, full bodied, and amber tea. It is especially enticing with milk and sugar.

A sample of this tea, in a cute little tin, came free with my last order. I did over-steep this one a little (hectic morning = forgot to set steep timer) but I don’t think a couple minutes would have done it too much harm. It doesn’t taste like Lipton or Twinnings, and while I’ve been going crazy with Earl Greys, I still think of those two brands first and foremost when it comes to English Breakfast. This tastes kind of chewy, with a slightly bitter flavor and high astringency. Hopefully a lot of that has to do with the over-steep, and I will make sure to set (and mind!) the steep timer next time.

This is a very smooth Ceylon tea. Not quite as bold as some breakfast blends I’ve encountered, but where it lacks in robust gusto it makes up for in delightful layers of flavor. Lovely fruity notes, a hint of floral… very nice.

My first cup of this tea I tried first without sweetener, and it was nice. Mellow and smooth. A little sweetener brings the aforementioned fruity tones into focus. The second cup (which I’m enjoying now) I decided to add a little milk and honey to see how it would fair as a “traditional” breakfast tea – and it’s so so so good like this. Creamy. Pleasant. A very good breakfast blend, indeed.

I like this…Let me just start off saying I don’t know what characteristics a good EB should have, but I’m assuming something quite strong that would take milk & sugar and be great in the morning?
This one fits nicely. Smooth, sweetish, nice. I like it. Aromatic.
I had it plain.

My aunt gave me this tea sampler from this company it came in a cute little tin. This is very smooth and light because of this i don’t reach for this one, when considering an english breakfast tea.
