The Sylvakandy Estate Orange Pekoe blend from English Tea Store is from the Kandy region of Sri Lanka (Ceylon ) and is grown at 3000 feet above sea level. It has malty flavor that smooths with a floral character. Like most single estate non-blended teas, it is best enjoyed hot with a dash of milk to help open and expand its flavor profile. World-class teas like Sylvakandy hold as many nuances and subtleties as fine wines and should be savored with an open mind and clean palate. A fine tea in the afternoon or after dinner.

98% or more of this tea comes from estates that are part of the Ethical Tea Partnership. The ETP is an initiative started within the tea industry to monitor and regulate living and working conditions on estates around the world.

The tea leaves are very uniform and do not break apart making the leaf easy to separate from the water. The taste is… like black tea lol. It is rich with flowery notes. The most interesting aspect is the dark colour of the leaves after brewing.
