These things look so awesome!
Unfortunately they do not have as much flavor or smoothness as a dian hong or many dragon pearls that I have had. This might taste better to someone who enjoys their coffee as well as tea.
I do enjoy watching these open up though :)

This tea is part malty, part fruity, and unfortunately part sour, less sour than the other notes. It also tastes a little bit flat to me, perhaps I did not use enough tea in the brew. I used 9g in brewing it western style in a 16oz tea pot. I gave it four minutes. Next time I will add three grams of tea to it and lower the water temperature.

I brewed this one time in a 16oz Teavana Glass Perfect Tea Maker/Gravity Steeper with 9g leaf and 200 degree water for 4 min.

…oh…no….how disappointing. sour is not one of my preferred notes in tea, unless it’s iced tea and i put it there myself with a lemon!
