This is a very enjoyable flavored black tea. Customers to Columbia Kate’s had been asking about this flavor often enough that I finally added it to the inventory. Apparently it was a local favorite in years past. I’m glad I did as it has become one of the more popular teas even among guests having it for the first time.

The primary tones are the hazelnut, tho not too strong. The nuttyness is mellowed by the natural sweetness of the fruits and slight spicyness of the orange. I’m not a big hazelnut fan, as it is reminiscent of flavored coffee but I would put this tea above any hazelnut flavor I have had in the past.

Etsy Advent Calendar Day 4

Finally, we have a hit! Again, nothing is listed on the wrapper as to ingredients, but I found them on the website. Fruit, and black tea. This is nothing special, but a pleasant tea to enjoy with shortbread and jam. After the first three teas I was beginning to despair of finding one i like. Mind you, I wouldnt’ rush out to stock up on this one, but if I saw it in a hotel tea caddy I would happily brew and drink a cup.

We are expecting our first real snow of the winter tonight and tomorrow. Not a lot in my area, maybe 3 inches. But with 25-30 mile an hour winds, 3 inches is more than enough to cause white out conditions. I may not make it to church tomorrow. We’ll see. A perfect to lounge around writing out Christmas cards while sipping tea.

We had snow here, then it all melted and this night two or three inches fell again. It feels so good to drink advent teas while white outside.

Sounds idyllic.

@*Martin* Yes! I live in North Dakota, USA, where winter lasts about 5 months out of the year and after mid November doesn’t melt until April. It’s a good think I like winter. (although the older I get the less I like it.) It is so comforting to drink a hot cuppa when it’s cold out.

@*Evol* Didn’t get to the Christmas cards. Hopefully later this week.

Delicious, not to sweet, nutty and fruity. One of my favorite Eastern Shore teas, and I like their brand very much in general.
