Date Picked Late March

Flavour Profile
White teas are by nature very delicate and fruity. Our jasmine white has prominent floral jasmine flower and rose petal notes. With fruity blueberry undertones, and even a hint of creaminess.

Interesting Information

White tea comes from a different variety of tea plant to green tea (although many try to sell the green tea on as white). This is also the least processed of teas and is created simply by sun-drying and therefore preserves the highest amount of antioxidants. White tea should be plucked on a sunny morning to ensure that the dew has been dried out.

Our teas are Ming Qian and so are the most sought after variety, as they grow slowly due to cool temperatures and so have a distinctive flavour. When picking the tea leaves, only the shoots (unopened buds) are plucked. This ensures tenderness.

These tea leaves are preserved until the start of summer, when jasmine flowers appear. No flavourings are used to create this fine tea. Instead, this tea is created by laying it out on a bed of fresh jasmine flowers every night for 6 consecutive nights to allow it to absorb the delicate jasmine scent.
