Sipdown (288)!

When I had this the first time I brewed it hot and definitely was not impressed. This time around I decided to try something different and dumped the teabag into 1/2 a bottle of water to cold brew overnight. I think it has steeped for 12 hours now and yet it has very little flavor. It is less astringent than the hot brew but also less fruity. And has a slight vegetal quality, nothing else. If I didn’t know any better, I would have thought I accidentally grabbed a plain water bottle. I guess this one just isn’t for me but thank you Arby for the share and the chance to try something new!

A nice fruity iced tea to improve my evening. 1 teabag, 25 minutes, 400 mL cold water

I can make out the passion fruit and papaya. The base is fairly old, (3+ years since I bought it, who knows how long ago it was picked…) and the teabags have lost their flavour. The base is very slightly bitter, yet not super flavourful (fairly mild, actually-mostly because of its age). I do like the tropical fruits. They make for a decently tropical and sweet iced tea. I can definitly taste the passion fruit, raspberry, and papaya.

A lot of these teas in this set smell wonderful (pronounced: VAN-da-FOOL). But this made me a little sad, since the papaya didn’t transfer over into the tea and it’s very light to begin with. It felt like I was using a quater-sized teabag; the flavor just “vasn’t zehr”.

Perhaps another tea will do me in?

Very light in color. Slight fruity aroma after steep. Prior to steeping smells marvelous! Loses quite a bit of smell like most bagged teas
