This tea fell by the wayside by accident, from a sub box I believe. It wasn’t too bad – I wanted more flavour, particularly the cream, but it was definitely somewhat sweet from the raisins. I think some additional breadiness would also have been useful.

So catching up a bit here on my Dessert by Deb subscription teas. I believe this one was from the July box? And I just recently received the September box, so lots to catch up on! Currant scones are one of my favorite afternoon tea treats so I’m excited to try this one out.

Honestly though, I’m not sure what I think about it yet. It’s a bit bland or something? I definitely taste the cream flavoring and the slight sweetness of the maple crystals, but the raisin is only a tiny hint and I would love more of it. The base is also a bit nondescript, slightly astringent and a touch malty.

We’ll have to see if my opinion improves as I work my way through the pouch!
