Sipdown! 817.

Yep, still a resounding “meh” from me regarding this one. It’s fruity (pineapple is dominant), and this time there isn’t any astringency, but it’s just nothing special at all.

Yum! I think I really like this, but I’m not going to rate it till I’m 100% over my cold. I am feeling 50% better today though, yay!! Anyway, I love pineapple, and jasmine, and green and white tea :) I don’t really get why the corn is in there it whatever, doesn’t bother me.

Thanks again for the swap brewTEAlly Sweet!

JustJames

there’s CORN in it?

Stephanie

Yep! shrug lol

JustJames

hmmm, well the starch aspect might make it appeal to the tongue more?

BrewTEAlly Sweet

Its sweet corn. I was drawn to this tea because of the odd quality. I loved it after trying it!

Say whhhhaaat? White + green tea, blended with corn, pineapple, papaya and jasmine? That sounds pretty crazy!

The result? Ehhhhh. Lots of white tea taste, savory cream corn, pineapple, peachy jasmine floral and mystery fruit flavors.

Wonders of Kashmir a very unique and weird blend – an adventure! However, this blend tastes a little too weird for me, I think it’s either the jasmine or the corn that makes this blend become too freaky. Overall, if you want something really different, do a try me sampling, or pass and try Della Terra’s A Rabbit’s Garden instead.

Another meh tea from this morning. I’ll have to see if it gets any better when i have time to sit and drink and log at the same time but this is a little better than snow fairy imo, though not by much.

I got 4 steeps out of this tea. Im sure i could have gotten a few more. Each steep I let it go a minute longer. I have to say I am really in love with this green/white mixture. The jasmine I loved. The fruity flavors were not very strong and paired very well with the base. I’m definitely going to buy a full size of this after my sample is finished. LOVE IT!!!

A little off topic, but did you get your teapot from IKEA? The basket looks exactly like the one I use

BrewTEAlly Sweet

Ha ha yes;) my normal one broke so I compromised. But I bought a new one in my post about the watermelon xylophone and I love it!

They work pretty well, and the price is right. Mine is packed away at the moment and I miss it so much that I’m contemplating getting another one if I don’t find it soon.

LOL…Steepster….you acting a little strange….(Took over a minute for the tasting note window to pop up. though of course it could be my computer making the trouble.)

On to the tasting note!

Ok received this sample from Janelle.

I admit I was a bit surprised to see such a low temp suggestion on DTT’s website, but I am adaptable:) 1st sip out of the gate was…sweet marshmallowy clouds. Another…hmm this has some depth. I don’t really taste any pineapple though. I do taste kind of a almost bitter but not in a bad way. I am leaning towards getting a sample of this later on so I have more to decide whether or not I like it…

I’ll preface this by saying that I have a cold, and all I want in life is warm beverages, fuzzy socks, and being a couch potato. Regardless, like many previous reviewers, I was intrigued by the ingredients in this tea. Della Terra only had a small amount of one of the other samples I ordered, so they sent me this sample for free. :) Anyway, I taste the mixture of the green and white base with some fruitiness from the pineapple. I also don’t get anything from the corn – but I am congested, so I might not be able to fully taste this tea. My throat and taste buds are happy…for now.

The corn just contributes some vague creaminess, I think!

Jmayor

Yay! Hopefully I can taste that when I get over this cold.

Thanks to Awkward Soul for letting me try this tea.
I got this tea from meetup yesterday. (OC steepster meetup) I received so much tea from meeka and awkward soul! :) I tried couple of them already and trying to write a tasting note.
When I first saw this tea, I was like… “corn…O.O?” I have never seen any tea blend that uses corn so it caught my eyes. Following up, blending seemed like they put a lot of different things together. I brewed it, and could smell some tarty fruity scent. Couldn’t feel the corn after it was brewed lol When I drank it, it tasted somewhere between white & green (as you can expect from blending)
Honestly, I wasn’t really impressed by it. I could feel some bitterness from white tea, and mix of white & green wasn’t working for me. :/ Nothing impressive.

This is a nice blend. I used a pretty low temp to brew because of the white tea, and other times I’ve tried white teas I think a lot of the time the water was too hot because it would have bitter tastes. This time, no bitterness! yay! It’s a mild tasting tea and the fruitiness is pleasant. The aftertaste is more flowery than while you drink it. The more try different teas, I think that white teas are too subtle and finicky for me to buy many of them. This one might be a good iced tea candidate though, it came out better than the White Asian Pear I’d gotten from Teavana that I kept misbrewing so it tasted like I’d added some toxic chemical in. Thanks to BrewTEAlly Sweet for the sample :)
