Gave this one a try today… Thanks to Tea Sipper for sending it along from my wishlist when I bought a couple of other teas to try.

It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a tasting note on this one and I had forgotten what it was “supposed” to taste like from having read about it previously. I decided not to look and to steep it as a black as it appeared to be.

Dry leaf smells sweet and vanilla. This is a pretty tea, not for those that like little fun things sprinkled in their tea leaves. With tiny marshmallows, little blue star flowers and gold balls, this is a fun one to look at.

Steeped it reminds me so much of the little marshmallows that you get in kids cereals. Lucky Charms comes to mind. I think it may even be good as a cold steep. This comees complete with the flavor of the dust on those marshmallows… Don’t tell me you never picked them out of the cereal and ate them by themselves!

I will enjoy this sample and how it takes me to my childhood. It almost makes me want to go to the local Amish store and pick up a little bag of those marshmallows… They buy things in bulk and re-package for resale.

Oh so sweet marshmallow cereal for breakfast, then off to riding my banana seat bike on the gravel drive on the old farm. – The good old days!

Ouch—memories of bike wrecks on gravel!

Oh sorry. I have some memories of that too! & a tiny scar left behind on my left knee.

No idea of how many teas ive tried from the megaload of tsp samples i have from the box.

I’m assuming this tea has something to do with Hanukkah. Im definitely tastings burnt, not always burnt sugar though. Honestly not sure if it’s because this is the bottom of the sample or because of the ‘poptart’ but I’m npt really liking the flavors. The first few sips were good but as I’m getting to the bottom of the cup it’s kinda meh.

My swap arrived from Roswell Strange! Just as I was thinking I had my samples under control. And I just placed my Butiki order, along with two others over the weekend. Teas galore it will be.

This is a tasty tea. It’s fairly straightforward in that what it says, it is. A fairly sweet black tea, a great treat. I love the mini marshmallows. It’s sweetly vanilla and caramel/chocolatey with that marshmallow goodness. I would enjoy a sample of this every now and then, but I don’t think it’s necessarily something I need in my cupboard.

Thanks Roswell Strange!

I recall I had wanted to try this one for a long time and then last year pre-baby a sample was sent to me in a swap from Dustin…it’s been awhile, but thanks!

It tastes like the marshmallows from Lucky Charms. It’s good, I mean clearly there’s nothing natural about it and it’s purely a decadent, indulgent dessert tea, but it is definitely good if that’s what you are looking for.

I’d almost consider this as a replacement for hot chocolate if you were trying to “watch your figure” (vs “watching it expand”).

A winter tea for sure! Definitely comparable to DTT’s S’Mores tea. And that other one, the one that is similar to S’Mores. It’s been awhile and I forget.

I put a bit of cream in my cup and it held up pretty well, even though I think I put a bit too much. I would consider buying this in the winter, if I ran out of S’Mores!

It pains me to say this, but I almost think I’m over the whole super sweet fake dessert tea thing :/

Oh God bitter. Bitter bitter bitter. I only let it steep for two minutes at under boiling and it is almost too bitter to handle. Maybe I over leafed or something. Will rate when I try this again.

from the Traveling Tea Box

This is a pleasant dessert black tea. It’s fun to measure out and see tiny bits of candy and marshmallow. I expected it to be a bit sweeter without adding anything to it but the sweetness is mild. Not a future staple but a pleasant sip, anyway.

I only have a small sample of this one so it’s hard to smell the tea leaves. They smell faintly of buttercream frosting, and the tiny sprinkles and marshmallows are so cute! The tea itself smells like marshmallows, with a faint hint of burnt sugar. It tastes pretty much the same, and though I like marshmallows, I didn’t like my first sip of this tea. It was cloyingly sweet, and yet it didn’t really taste like sugar. After letting it cool for a few minutes the flavor seems to change, bringing in the caramel and burnt sugar to give it more depth. I definitely enjoyed that quite a bit more than the first sip, but probably not enough to buy more.

Thanks to Jackie T for this sample!
