A sneaky new launch that sort of silently came out today.

I actually think this MIGHT have been meant for Mother’s Day, but everything has been one big jumble since Covid-19 and I’m having a little bit of an issue keeping my timelines straight…

This is an interesting tea though; basically a green tea with strawberry, cucumber, and chamomile as the main ingredients. I don’t vibe with it that strongly, just personally speaking, because most of the main ingredients just happen to be things I don’t like that much such as green tea/vegetal flavours and chamomile. What I think is nice about it though is that it’s a pretty mellow and refreshing, soft and delicately bodied fruity profile which is something that currently does not exist in green tea category. Did we need another strawberry blend? Debatable. However, this is at least super different feeling than the other strawberry teas currently being carried…

It’s basically like drinking a cucumber and strawberry water or agua fresca; channeling some of those Los Angelos Spa Vibes, y’know? If you brew it hot then I think it might be perceived as a little bit thin, but steeped cold or iced it’s nice and refreshing. If the flavours, just in general, are ones you’re on board with then this could easily be the type of mild and relaxing iced tea you just drink a whole pitcher of on the summer porch…

Maybe spike it with a little gin? This would be hella nice with gin, and muddled cucumbers. Someone needs to go and make that cocktail. Even I would be tempted to try!

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts and feelings regarding the teas, and not the company’s.
