Cold Brew!

I feel like this tea flew under the radar, and that a lot of people missed it and I think that’s a shame because it’s such refreshingly unique blend – stand out from a lot of the flavour profiles that have come out lately. Perhaps a “spiced grape jam” flavour profile is admittedly not the most commercial, but it’s just so good! The grape is jammy and sweet but not cloying, and the cardamom compliments weirdly well – and I actually think using a green tea base is smart (despite how I normally feel about green tea) because it keeps two very decadent flavour profiles from feeling very heavy which could create a blend that feels bogged down and overly rich.

I finished off the small initial amount of this I’d brought home, so topped off my stash with even more! This is one green tea I want to keep in stock as long as possible.

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts and feelings regarding the teas, and not the company’s.

This is so unique. I love cardamom and adding it to a grape jam seems like such a great pairing. I’ve had cardamom in a pear jam before but may have to try adding it to my next batch of muscadine jam to see how the flavors meld.
