I was sure after the first sip that I wasn’t going to like this one: it tasted like a straight-up hibiscus tea and I am NOT a fan of hibiscus. However, as it cools, the other flavors start to pop a bit more…I definitely get some cranberry and maybe even a hint of vanilla. Still not outstanding, but better than I thought!

It seems like hibiscus is showing up more and more often in Davids tea blends unfortunately.

Yes, hibiscus and stevia. I am not a fan of either.

Blech. This could be a good tea, the cranberry taste that you get a slight hint of at the beginning is so good, but then it’s masked by fake sweetener and other horrible flavors.

What an odd combination of fruits.

I don’t really know what to say about this blend.

The aftertaste is terrible, and, to my palate, it’s not the stevia. I think it’s the combination of white chocolate and something else. There’s a really unpleasant sourness that lingers and a horrible waxy coating on the roof of my mouth.

This had such potential. When I heard the name I was expecting cranberries, pistachios, maybe a bit of orange peel, and apples (of course, because they’re in everything) in a rooibos base.

I couldn’t even finish my cup. Another no from me.

Probably won’t buy again. I like it better when using two perfect spoons of it and steeping for shortest time recommended (4 minutes). It’s sweet but tastes artifically so.

Just say no…gross, bad aftertaste. Not worth writing more. I know there are folks that like this one. I personally don’t like tea blends with chocolate or yogurt pieces at all.

I’m into this one, but I like herbal teas with real flavor (not weak).

Day 23 of David’s Tea’s 24 Days of Tea 2017

For someone who usually hates cranberries, I didn’t actually mind this tea. There are enough other fruity teas that I probably wouldn’t bother buying this one, however. The little stars are a cute touch, though.

Day 23 DavidsTea 24 Days of Tea advent calendar – White Cranberry Bark. I’ve been jotting down notes for times when I’m drinking the tea but not in front of my laptop to write up a note here. My note for this one just says, “Feh.”

Some of the most common criticisms I hear of DT brews are that they are too often overly sweet or ‘potpourri tea’ — and this one fits neatly into both of those categories. It wasn’t awful, it was just ‘feh’. I did not finish my mug of this. Tried it both with and without milk, neither version was very good, though the milky one maybe felt a little less syrupy.

Solid pass.

Ah shoot. I brewed it thinking it was a white tea. Herbal is not what I want to start my morning off with. Oh well, my dumb. It’s a unique blend. Smell better then it tastes in my opinion. Hibiscus, apple, nutty notes, and something sweet…. oh stevia… slight creamy notes from the white chocolate but they are mostly covered by the hibiscus and stevia.

I got this tea in the David’s Tea advent calendar and read/watched some reviews before trying it. It just sounded like it would work better as an iced tea and I’m glad I tried it that way because I really enjoyed it. I’m hoping it goes on sale after the holidays because I’ll definitely buy some extra to drink through the warmer months.
