Very fruity and light, good hot or cold. Pretty color thanks to the Butterfly Pea Flowers, and it really is magical when it changes colors with lemon juice. 5/5

Sipdown! (1 | 369)

Cold brew… I admit, the rest of the pitcher got dumped.

There is so much stevia! I apparently used to like this one, but I just can’t handle it now because of the intensity of the stevia. Plus it steeped up a very unattractive brown color instead of the lovely blue it used to, heh heh…

This tea tastes like watered down grape juice. While it is a beautiful color and sounds intriguing I could not drink more than 3 sips. The David’s tea employee said this was her favorite out of all the daily teas. Kind of stumped about that one.

Another excellent fruity tea with strong, moderately artificial raspberry flavor…and stevia. I don’t mind the stevia at all. Prepared this as an Arnold Palmer with some store-bought raspberry lemonade. So refreshing.

So I was very excited about this tea tonight. I had an awesome plan to get a cool timelapse video of this tea steeping and then the color changing aspect when combined with lemon juice. However, when I finished the video I was not that impressed with it. So I brewed the leaves again to get before and after pics of the color changing process. So much work to do something different for the #365daysoftea challenge.

After all that, I had 2 cups of this tea to drink and tbh both got dumped. The stevia was just way too much for me. The resteep was actually more tolerable than the first steep, probably since the first mug got the brunt of the stevia, yet both were just too sweet. I have too much tea to drink stuff I don’t like even a little, even when it is pretty.

Evol Ving Ness

Yup. I didn’t even bother with this one. With other harsh teas, I find that the second steep is a better cup, and often I blend the first and the second steep to find a better balance.

I picked some of this up when the Halloween collection came out with the Sorcer’s set. The set comes with a clear mug with ghosts on it, a skinny tin of this tea, and a black perfect spoon. I like this one iced. The bright blue colour it steeps at is beautiful and I actually prefer the taste of the tea without the colour changing lemon juice added. Is it my absolute favourite of all time? No. Will I be buying tons to keep on hand? No. It’s a nice fruity once in a while kind of tea to me.

The colours in this tea are amazing. The ingredients all sound really good and like something I would like. But the added sweetener completely ruined it for me, not only did it look like a super artificial sugary drink, it tasted like one too. I couldn’t even finish my cup.

What sort of sorcery is this?! With a name like magic potion I knew it would brew up to be an interesting color but I didn’t think indigo. The currants and raspberries are the dominant flavors followed heavily by the Stevia. Honestly, the stevia is too strong to me, making this too sweet.

Evol Ving Ness

I think this one might be the one that needs a squeeze of lemon and it changes colour. And deals with the overly sweet issue.

VariaTEA

I am worried about the stevia in this which is why I have put off trying it.

Skysamurai

Even with the lemon I found it to be too sweet. I drink alot of unflavored though so I’m finding it alot harder these days to drink blends like this

Evol Ving Ness

Understood. Their stevia additions ruin things for me too.

I was so excited to first try this tea because its colour changing and both of the colours are my fave. But was disappointed because it tasted so artificial… I liked it better with the lemon juice but still isn’t very great to me. High expectations let me down with this one. :(

I was in Toronto when on the first day they released this tea. I was there to purchase another tea, and fell in love with this instantly. The taste is amazing, as well as the ‘magic’ trick, makes it a definite favourite. Works very well to help cure any cold or sore throat,.
