From DAVIDsTEA

We’re going crazy for biscotti over here! Typically served with an after-dinner espresso, these crunchy Italian biscuits are so delicious, it’s impossible to stop at just one. Lucky for you, we have a guilt-free version that tastes just like the real deal. This chocolaty black tea comes packed with rich cocoa, roasted chicory root and a bright burst of juicy orange. Our favourite part? The irresistible espresso finish and gentle caffeine kick from the roasted coffee beans. Lightly sweet and sophisticated, it’s a crumb-free treat you’ll want to take your time savouring.

This was better than I remembered. A really lovely chocolate orange + coffee flavour. Kind of wish I could get more, because I haven’t had too many chocolate orange teas this good, and the mocha part was an added bonus!

Liked this one. Lots of orange flavor and earthy tones from the chocolate/coffee. Definitely accurate to its name.

The coffee flavor really overwhelmed the cuppa. The orange note was present at the very end. It tasted like someone mixed Mocha Latte with a black tea base and added some orange essence. I’m glad I just got sample and didn’t order any on impulse. It sounded really promising. While it wasn’t a bad cuppa, I was hoping for more orange flavor.

Gave this one another go today, this time as a latte. Still tastes pretty bleh for me. Again, mostly tasting weak coffee and orange. Not bad but not good either.

The smell is amazing and you get this wonderful chocolaty orange smell that you think to yourself that you just scored the jackpot here but wait for it… the tea just doesn’t deliver.

I really wanted to like this one, I really did and I have had it multiple times now and the best way that I enjoy it is as a latte.

I feel like I’ve had so many variations of this tea. Except I’m used to this flavour profile having puerh in it, and I don’t see any in the ingredients… That might be the carob and the chicory? Those are two ingredients I’m not a huge fan of. Mostly because those are things I’ve reacted to badly in the past, back when I was hoping to find an alternative to chocolate.
The orange is barely present. Kindof like a muted terry’s chocolate orange. The old me would have loved it. Today? I’m on the fence

Bah. I’m in an ick mood.

I want to try this solely on the name and flavour profile, but because it doesn’t have any stevia or blackberry leaves, which seem to be in nearly everything David’s puts out these days. So for the latter reason alone, it is a must try. Because it is actually something I can have.

Indigobloom

was that latter… or latte reason? :P
I kid I kid. I look forward to your review!

HA HA! I did pick up a small amount yesterday to try. Since it is one of the few new teas I can try, I feel like I have to try it. But I do love orange and chocolate, too.

Indigobloom

That’s partly why I picked it up as well. I might try it again with a little rinse.

Holy crackers Batman, the scent of the dry leaf is heavenly, like a cross between a Terry’s Chocolate Orange and a handful of chocolate covered coffee beans. But how will it steep?

This falls short in the flavour department, unfortunately. The orange note is strong, however, it’s on the artificial side. The chocolate note is slightly more prominent than the coffee but they’re more subdued than expected overall. I don’t get any baked notes from the biscotti aspect. I was so sure this was going to be a winner based on its scent but there you go. Another classic example of how a tea can taste quite different than the scent of the dry leaf.

This isn’t a bad tea at all. I think it’s quite similar to ‘Mocha Latte’, just with orange added. When I tried this in the store I was quite surprised that I didn’t need to add anything to it, because of the orange peel it had some natural sweetness to it, which is good. (I always add something to my teas) I’ve heard multiple different opinions on this, but mine is that it is similar to mocha latte, and has a nice orange flavour. Also, I’m glad there’s not an overwhelming taste of coffee beans (I hate coffee)

Oh, had no idea about these new ones! The combination sounds lovely but I’m still going to set the bar a little lower haha.

I definitely want to try this!

This tea smells so good but I’m just not in love with the taste. Frustratingly, despite knowing that, I found myself BADLY craving a cup of it even though I knew I wouldn’t be in love with the taste. So, I steeped a cup of it and got satisfaction from the orange/chocolate in it for like three sips? And then after that I was sick of it. Thankfully someone else was working with me who adores this one so I gave her the rest of the cup.

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts regarding the teas, and not the company’s.

Mocha-check! Orange-Check! This is a different combo for me and I wasn’t sure I would like it, but it is pretty amazing. I only wish I had some biscotti to dip in it.
