Thanks to SuperStarling! for sending me a big bag of this. I see there has been a lot of low ratings for this tea so I must be an outlier here.

The first impression on smelling this tea is, “Whoa. Peanuts.” Straight up smells like a bag of peanuts. Now, in terms of this review, there is something you should know about me. I am a huuuugeee fan of nuts. I always keep nuts (usually the deluxe mixed kind) in my house. So this was exciting for me.

The flavor of the tea itself definitely had that nutty flavor but some of the sweetness from the apple, coconut, and brittle (yes, this tea has brittle) also contributed. The result is a really nice, warm, peanut-y, sweet brew. I dig it.

If any of ya’ll who rated it below a 50 still have some, I’d love to take it off your hands. :)

Super Starling!

I included it because I thought the kids would like it, sir. But I’m glad you like it, too. ;)

This one has really grown on me! I actually ordered another 200g while on sale. I tried it as a latte and fell in love! For myself it’s not what I would consider a “dessert tea” but it’s definitely indulgent. Creamy, silky, slightly sweet, but the oat/woody/nut notes send it more to the savory side IMO. It’s a nice break from my other teas that are almost all on the sweet side. I think an iced latte would be tasty!

I surprisingly hated this tea when i tried it in the fall, and then (the surprising part) was I just tried it again yesterday since it was on sale for like 3 bucks and I love it! lol yes it smells like peanuts but I dont taste peanuts. I taste a nutty coconut and the woody rooibos and maybe a little bit of the nut brittle and apple. I will be ordering more before its gone.

I only really enjoy this tea as a latte. It it amazing as a latte. It does have a “peanut butter” taste to it so if you aren’t a fan of peanut butter I’d avoid this one.

Unfortunately, this tea was available when I went to a David’s Tea store the other day, and I thought it sounded interesting. I now agree with the other reviewers who wrote that it’s absolutely horrible. Totally disgusting, really! We made this tea last night and everyone wondered what the atrocious smell was. I drank it and shuddered. Was this tea not ‘taste tested’? I tried to exchange the box today, but the store manager said ‘we don’t exchange teas that were on sale’. I will be writing to or calling the company to complain. The look in the manager’s eyes suggested that she is fully aware that this tea is horrible. I’ve never written a tea review before, but I wanted to make the effort in order to save smart people who check reviews from buying a tea that belongs in the garbage… even when it’s not expired!

I was so sad about this tea. It smelled kind of like peanut butter cup which I love. This is awful. I can’t even bring myself to drink what I have left. I don’t know what it is about it, but I have not met anyone who likes it. I may end up throwing it out. I have never felt this way about any tea before.

I liked this more than I thought I would based on the ratings. It’s drinkable plain, but I prefer it with some brown sugar. It steeps a nice orange colour, and reminds me of drinking a hazelnut latte (minus the coffee flavour obviously).

Also I’m not a big peanut fan, and this tea smells just like peanuts (although I think it is made with almonds and hazelnuts). And yet I like it anyways. It’s one of those flavours that satisfies my savoury and sweet cravings at the same time. I might actually pick up a big bag of this before it goes away since I assume it won’t be back next year.

I own around 2/3 of the davids tea loose leaf teas…I have never said I hated a cup of tea…hate is a strong word too..but I will for sure use if for this tea it’s absolute garbage! and my unlucky self got 50g this as a free gift in one of their promotions so now I’m stuck with 100g of this gross tea that I wouldn’t even want to give away to someone I dislike because its so bad.. and I couldn’t possibly throw unexpired tea out so I’m just going to wait a year and throw it out so I can do it with a clear head

forgot that i had this one the other day in store. the dry leaf really bothered me for some reason, but the actual tea isn’t bad. I don’t feel the need to purchase any, but glad i got to try it. very nutty flavour, without being creamy/heavy from a black base.
