From DAVIDsTEA

It’s fruity. It’s bubbly. And it makes you feel great. Is there a better way to start your day than a pineapple mimosa? Originally created at the Ritz Hotel in Paris 1925, this refreshing champagne cocktail has fancy written all over it. It’s so good, we’ve concocted a delicious version you can sip all day long. With pineapple, apple slices and pretty marigold petals, this sparkling tea is just begging to be sipped out of a champagne flute. Perfect to class up your Sunday brunch or serve at your next bridal shower. Cheers!

Apple, candied pineapple (pineapple, sugar), pineapple, marigold petals, white cornflower petals, artificial flavouring.

#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #230 overall / Tea #10 for June
Wednesday 6/9 — DT Pineapple Mimosa. cold-brew pitcher. 1.4 oz tin. Part of a 3 tin “cocktail collection” set that I have two of (with raspberry mojito and sangria). This was last tin of three in first set. Still 1 more set to go.

2021 Sipdown 32/365!
(DavidsTea 84)

Brewed up this tea and stuck it in the fridge as well. Blech. The problem here is that it tastes like an alcoholic beverage, which I generally dislike. So props for simulating that favour in the tea, but that does mean I’m not a fan. I didn’t specifically taste pineapple per se, but it was a light, fruity blend with the pervasive alcoholic flavour. Not a tea for me.

AJRimmer

Yeah I think cocktail blends can be fun, but I don’t like when they try to include an alcohol flavor (except rum flavoring can work for me).

Kittenna

I always try them, because more often than not there is no alcohol flavour and the tea is just good! I don’t like any alcohol flavours though, as far as I know.

This is a queued tasting note.

My most recent cold brew of this tea was pretty simple in regard to flavour but still definitely delivered. The strongest note was this lovely, thick syrupy and heavy sweet pineapple that felt like it was clinging to every bit of my mouth. That was complimented by lesser notes of honey and floral tones such as rose.

Sipdown (95)

I brewed the last of this as a teapop and despite there not being a pineapple piece in this brew the flavor still comes through. I believe the way this is coming through is the way DAVIDs intended because the flavor is spot on and the carbonation sells the idea of a mimosa. Yum :)

I will probably be restocking this one in the near future. This and Bear Trap.

Fjellrev

Oh, I don’t even know about this one. Have been out of the DAVIDs loop. I’ll have to pick some up if you approve. :)

VariaTEA

It’s good when had immediately but for some reason if you let it sit for a bit it gets this weird, almost waxy flavor. So if you get it, I would only get a sample to try it out.

Fjellrev

Weird, and the tea shouldn’t even be that old considering it’s a newer one, from what I understand.

VariaTEA

I meant each individual brew. For some reason when I started drinking it would be awesome and then I’d get distracted and it would sit for a while, like a couple hours, and it would taste strange when I came back to it

Fjellrev

Oh, I see what you mean. So strange. I recall other teas doing that but can’t think of which ones specifically.

cold brewed this one to try it and pulled it out after a day of epic riding with not one, but TWO epic (for me) crashes. While i knocked my head about 4 times today (kids, this is why you wear a helmet…), have scrapes and bruises all over all of me AND a sprained thumb… i DID get 5 personal records today AND i managed to get over a giant log hurdle that i’ve tried a few times now and failed on. So yay.

This tea, colde brewed without sugar is very much a pineapple mimosa. I don’t like mimosas…but i DO love pineapple. haha after i added a little sugar to the brew, it was much more pineapple and the champagne aspect of it backed of. Would i drink this one again? yep…but i also don’t feel the need for it to be in my cupboard…

Jillian

Mountain biking I take it? That manages to beat even my boyfriend’s record of crashing twice in two months on his road bike. ;D

Hope you’re feeling okay (all things considered)

Sil

yeah mountain biking…I’m riding on a bike that’s a little big and this was only my second ride out using spd’s so i shouldn’t have been tackling as challenging a line as we were… i’m sore…but it was a good day. i beat the log.

Evol Ving Ness

Glad you are ok, Sil. Sounds like you might be needing to pick up some arnica gel or cream if you are going to make a habit of this. Wild thing, you.

Sil

i’m hoping NOT to fall down any more ravines if that helps haha

Evol Ving Ness

Yes, yes, I think that will help both of us.

I received a sample in store while I was getting some new teas to try. This tea smells like champagne and it tastes like it too. It really tastes like there’s alcohol in it and I noticed a hint of pineapple too. I didn’t freak over this one-probably because it felt weird to drink a tea that tastes like alcohol but for 1$ iced tea days in the summer (with the purchase of a special tumbler), I might try it again.
