Too floral for my liking, I agree that it smells too much like old lady. Ok to have before bed until I find something I like better.

Disclaimer: I’m far from a tea connaisseur/enthusiast. My notes are not meant to be a review for the tea community, but rather for myself so I know what to buy or not buy again (I wish there was a way to keep notes private).

I did not expect to like this, but I really did! Purely herbal teas tend to be weak and flavorless (or heavy on artificial flavors) and turn me off, and I generally categorically dislike anything floral. This had a ton of flavor! I can taste the hibiscus (which I usually dislike) but in this it just gives a round tartness to the sweet strawberry flavor. I don’t consciously taste the lavender or rose, but I can certainly smell them (which I do like). I catch a faint hint of mint but nothing truly minty – it reads as a more green flavor that balances out the sweetness. I enjoyed this sample enough to order some for real, and I don’t know that I’ve ever ordered teas because of an herbal. I still love my real teas best, but this was great as a caffeine-free option.

Advent Calendar day 4! This one is soooo good. It’s more of a sweeter tea that relaxes. I prefer this one over Mother’s Little Helper to relax in the evening for sure! I’m definitely going to be adding this tea to my Christmas list! I steeped one perfect scoop with a regular mug

The aroma of this tea was divine. I couldn’t wait to have a taste. After drinking half the cup I decided to add a little agave to it, and it absolutely enhanced the tastes of it. I really enjoyed this and proceeded to have another cup.

this tea is very floral which i am very fond of, but also very fruity, which i find less appealing hot. i waited for it to cool off and tried it ice and it was a significant improvement in my opinion.

Day 4 of the Davd’s Tea Advent Set: So, I had this tea later in the days since I wanted a tea with caffeine in the morning. I steeped this in the afternoon. It was a pleasant flavor but something seemed odd about it. Then I realized that it reminded me of the fragrance of some incense. Its probably the combination of rose and fruits. I don’t think I would order this in a large amount but it was good enough to drink. I could see myself requesting this as one of the three free samples in the future. If you like a strong floral flavor you might like this. Not recommending fur purchase but if you can sample it do it.

Continuing with the Calm Tea sampler a friend gave me. There are 6 herbal teas in cute little tins like the ADvent calendar teas come in, but these are pretty blues and purples. I will hang onto these to carry loose leaf tea when I travel.

I tried this one tonight for my relaxation tea. Definitely not one I would want to drink a lot of. A bit too floral for my taste. Not terrible though. Glad it’s not 50 grams, but I will certainly will be able to drink the rest of the tea down.

Funny, this is one of my favourite DTs evening blends.

Advent calendar day 4. Finally, a tea that was easy to drink. It smells divine, tart with some lavender and it kind of reminds me of Pink Lemonade. The first sip was okay. It wasn’t amazing but there wasn’t anything wrong with it. The tartness from the smell carried over but it needed something. I added quite a bit of agave and it was much better. I think this one would be really good iced but I used the entire amount from the advent calendar up. I don’t think I’ll go out of my way to have this again or purchase it, but it was the best tea of the advent calendar so far.

The first time I tried this tea was from the 2016 Advent Calendar. It literally smells like an old lady and I couldn’t even drink it as the smell turned me off. I had a few sips and had to dump the rest down the drain along with putting the unused tea into the green bin. Perhaps this tea was such a turn off as I am one of the very few people in this world that don’t like the smell of lavender. I reset my nose by smelling some of the Jumpy Monkey!
