Whether you’re out sledding or just doing some holiday shopping, there’s no better way to stay warm and cozy than a piping hot mug of tea. And this tartly fruity, lightly spiced blend is the perfect winter companion. Just one sip and you’ll have visions of sugar plums dancing in your head. Not to mention apple, hibiscus, ginger and warm winter spices. It’s the perfect shot of warmth on a chilly winter day.

Meh. Licorice, cinnamon and fruit, all way too sweet and kind of artificial tasting. I’m feeling pretty indifferent to this one. It’s not bad, it’s just nothing that I’m particularly enjoying. I wouldn’t buy again.

Thanks for the licorice warning!

Kittenna

I’m not anticipating enjoying this one. But I’ll buy it anyhow.

Nope. This is one big cup of nope. It is a weird blend of chili, licorice, plum, and rose hips. This got dumped.

Cameron B.

Ew, chili?! Seriously? Definitely a nope for me, too.

VariaTEA

Haha I was not a fan at all!

OMGsrsly

That sounds so disappointing!

Kittenna

Hmm… they let you buy 8g, right? Maybe I won’t even get any… I didn’t end up purchasing any Snickerdoodle (although I did try it in-store).

VariaTEA

Kittenna, I have maybe a cup or two left from my 10g sample. I can just pass it along if you want to try without committing to a lot.

I snagged an advent calendar! And I even managed to grab one in store for my sister in law. After last year’s hour sell-out, I wasn’t taking any chances. I had mine shipped to my folks in Tennessee, because that’s where we’ll be spending Christmas and it seemed like a good way to have a variety of teas on hand without carting them across the border.

While we were at the mall, I picked up 20g of the new teas and this is the one I am the most excited about. I adore the Sugar Plum Fairy tea by Celestial Seasonings and stock up every time I see it. I’ve been dying to find a loose leaf replacement and I hope this is the one.

It smells so good. So good. Cinnamony goodness. The tea itself is yummy, but there’s an odd licorice sweetness in the middle of the sip. I do not think I’ll be replacing my beloved sugar plum fairy with this any time soon, and I don’t even know if I’ll restock after this 20g runs out. I need another cup or two to help me decide.

I stopped into DAVIDs today and they had a giant display of advent calendars. I passed, since it’s full of stuff I already have, but it doesn’t look like there’ll be issues with availability this year.

Daddyselephant

Actually, they sold out online around 6-7 last night. But that’s way better than selling out in an hour, like last year!
