From DAVIDsTEA

Blended by angels, this is one enchanting tea. It’s a subtly sweet rooibos blend of orange peel, orange blossoms and currants, all kissed with vanilla bean creaminess. Grown among the clouds in heaven and harvested by cherubs, it tastes like a golden ray of sunshine. One sip and you’ll find yourself running along a beach at sunset, surrounded by turtle doves. Don’t believe us? Steep a cup for yourself and see where your imagination takes you.

Ingredients: Rooibos, currants, orange peel, orange blossoms, vanilla pieces, marigold blossoms, safflower petals, natural flavouring.

Price per 50g: $6.50

sipdown! which leaves me still at 224 because i snuck a tea to keep out of the travelling tea box A. ;) I figured that while i’m doing a good job of not increasing my cupboard tonight with the teabox, i should still try to get a sipdown in since i did not have any 52 teas from my cupboard tonight. I’ll try to do better tomorrow with my 52 teas sipdown – have a few earmarked to try/drink. I figure maybe there’s hope of getting to 210 by the weekend…maybe. heh

I still enjoy this one, though with orange cream from della terra, i don’t need to keep this one in my cupboard, even if it is easier to access. I prefer the Della Terra blend and they’re usually having a sale haha! Thanks to kittenna and cavocorax for letting me try this one out though!

keychange

Oh yeah, definitely not a fan of this one. I find that artificial bubble gum thing just gets in the way of my enjoyment, although given that there are similar offerings (in the creamcicle department), I’m not losing hope.

Sil

Try orange and cream from Della terra :)

My hubby loves the smell of this tea; he says it reminds him of orange flavored Campino candies. I’m not a huge fan of orange flavored anything and I’m even less of a fan of orange peel, so I’m not sure why I decided to get this tea. I do love the taste of fresh oranges, so maybe that’s what I was hoping for? I can’t ignore the peel taste as a hot tea, but as it cools it tastes more like an orange flavor that I don’t mind. That is, once I get past that initial sip. Regardless of whether it’s hot or cold, that first sip tastes and smells like dried orange peel.

I imagine I’d like this one best as an iced tea, but it’s too cold these days to venture to try that. I’ll have to hang on to some of this until the warmer weather returns and give it a try. Until that time, this tea will sit in my o.k. pile.

steepster wont let me like but good reveiw :)

Sipdown! 799. Again because the rest goes to Sil. Muahahahahahahaha. Two can play this game!

I think I’m a bigger fan of the Joy’s Teaspoon version of this (Creamsicle), as it’s definitely creamier and has a better (fakey) orange flavour (which is what I want in a creamsicle tea!). Orange Blossom is definitely more on the realistic side of orange, and when I smelled it earlier, prior to my nose being all blocked up again, it was definitely more strongly/sharply orange, and there was really no cream to speak of. For some reason though, something bugs me about both of these blends (as in, I find them difficult to drink), and I don’t know whether it’s the base, or something about the flavouring. Strange. Ah well, probably won’t ever see this one again!

This tea is amazing. Sweet and creamy…orangey without setting off my acid reflux, vanilla-y without being fake or cloyingly sweet. This is perfection in a mug. I think we may end up with a tin of this.

For those who follow me, I did contact DavidsTea about the bad service we received yesterday and they immediately apologized and set things right. The mark of a good company isn’t that they never mess up, everyone makes mistakes, but how they handle it when they do mess up. This is why I’m willing to give DavidsTea and Tealish so much of my business, they know how to handle customer service, and this is also why I warn people away from H&S. Customer Service is huge, people.

Eisenherz

agreed! 2 years ago, I ordered 250g of an amazing discontinued tea on DT.com which they had forgotten to remove from the website while already out of stock. they contacted me apologizing, offered to replace it with a similar tea, and after saying how sad and disappointed I was about it because it was my favourite tea ever (which it was!), they made a special order for me and got me 300g of it!

Daddyselephant

I am constantly surprised and impressed by this company.

TeaBrat

H&S does not seem to be well known on Steepster for their customer service. Rishi is another company that has great service in my opinion.

Wow, this is lovely! Beautiful orange taste, super citrusy with the right amount of vanilla in the background to balance it out. Reminds me a lot of Orange Dolce from Mighty Leaf, which was stronger in taste but I also adored.

Maybe I have a soft spot for orange teas…hmm, I should get more of them!

Thank you to the ever so lovely keychange for this tea! ♥♥♥ You are absolutely wonderful!

hmm i’ve never tried orange dolce…keep meaning to. heh

TeaLady441

The marketing for this was a big part of why I liked it! http://www.davidstea.com/orange-blossom
It’s unicorn tea! (so silly)

Yvonne

@keychange: It couldn’t have been possible without you! :)
@Sil: Give it a try – it’s delicious! If you like citrus tea, you won’t be disappointed.
@Cavo: I just simply adore that picture – it’s partly the reason why I wanted to try the tea haha :P

Plunkybug

I love this one, especially for evenings when I don’t want caffeine. It’s rare I find a rooibos tea I like, but this is one. I try to have some on hand all the time for when the mood strikes.

Plunkybug

And I love that pic too!

Sipdown

I really like this combo of currants, orange, and vanilla. They just complement each other so well.

This is good for an after supper dessert. However, I am getting that fake “bubblegum” note that others have mentioned. I am decreasing the rating a little, but I still really enjoy this.

I bought this because the unicorn made me:https://twitter.com/DAVIDsTEA/status/311910727109713923/photo/1

I had that in my head all day, and when I went to the store I grabbed it, along with the mittful of clearance tea I bought on impulse. I can definitely taste the rooibos, but it doesn’t bother me like it does others. It also tastes like orange and vanilla and I probably need to make this iced and then FREEZE IT for fake CREAMSICLES in the summer. OH MAN I AM A GENIUS.

(Except I’m sure everyone else has already tried that. :P)

Anyway, this is a pretty nice herbal. Even with the rooibos aftertaste. People say they taste ‘bubblegum’ but I haven’t encountered that yet.

oh I bet I could even give this to the baby that’ll be great can’t wait for summer

OH, and speaking of being a genius, I figured out that $20 gets me 8 packs of tea, instead of 1.5 tins. I may end up with so many little DavidsTea pouches now, and samples sizes. I just don’t seem to have many regular teas that I drink daily – I’m always rotating to try new stuff. This will probably keep things fresher, and help me achieve sipdowns.

totally! haha i hate buying 1oz now even if i really love the tea.

Shmiracles

uh oh i just realized i left this cold brewing in my fridge from last night…. is it still drinkable if i cold brew tea for 24 hrs?
ALSO you ARE a GENIUS!!

Sil

shmiracles – i cold brew things for days haha

Shmiracles

hah whew! well in that case, the orange blossom will be a potent brew and will be drank up enthusiastically!! :)

Alysha

Mmm tea popsicles! I’m so trying that!

whoa listen. it has been an AWESOME 24 hours.
last night we had a party at my house and i drank this iced. i also had whisky white iced and made a few others for the future.
then today i had a pretty great marathon. considering how under-trained i am and that it rained even before the race started.
then we went to Carytown Teas and i got a Blood Orange Puerh and a Coconut Oolong and MY GOD Carytown Teas has the best tea ever so i can’t wait to go to sleep just so i can wake up and drink them.

Orange Blossom makes a pretty rad iced tea. i might say that it’s taken me almost a year to enjoy iced tea and this one is the one that helped nudge me into agreement.

Fjellrev

Oh, never heard of Carytown Teas. Their stuff looks good indeed.

Shmiracles

It’s the only tea place in my smallish city. I purposefully went to just get the blood orange puerh. Because even though I reviewed it wimpily, I basically hadn’t been able to really enjoy another puerh since. But when I saw the coconut oolong on the counter, and everyone on steepster has been talking about coconut oolongs and making my mouth water, I figured I should just get it. The main problem is that they only let you buy a 2oz minimum at a time. So if I do buy tea I end up spending way more $ than I should and my “only buying smaller samples” rule goes out the window.
But like always. I may feel guilty at first, but in the end i’m never unhappy that I have more tea. :)

Okay I swears on the precious that I rated this one already…

The first cup I had of it – pure awesome. Vanilla, orange, the currant mmm it was just like the picture on the website – unicorns and rainbows!

BUTTHEN – I had a second cup. Bwaaa all I can taste is bubblegum. Sad face. It’s still a tasty tea, but I won’t be stocking up.

Kittenna

I don’t think I have this rated/logged on here yet, but I definitely get the bubblegum flavour (and smell) too. Although I’ve yet to compare Elf Help/Orange Blossom/Midsummer Night’s Dream, I’m pretty sure the latter comes out the above and beyond winner, and I really don’t need more than one citrusy tea in my inventory (especially since I have ridiculous amounts of Tazo ‘Wild Sweet Orange’ teabags left to drink, which I now find difficult to stomach).

Mélissa

I too bought it for the unicorns, and the creamy orange promise. Yum!

TeaEqualsBliss

Unicorns? I have to buy just for that! I have over 500 unicorn items – I collect them :)

Uniquity

Though I am sad it tasted like bubblegum, I am glad I’m not the only who thinks it tastes like bubblegum!

Daisy Chubb

Bubblegum for suresies.

And man, if the package had a unicorn on it, I’d know exactly who to send it to! Just waiting for that zombie tea for my collection :)

Plunkybug

I don’t taste the bubblegum.

Love the smell of this. In the store when I was swapping out some tea, I asked for some Alpine Punch, and the SA helping me (Sue, who is awesome, btw) asked if I’d seen Orange Blossom…she said if I liked Alpine Punch, I might like this. I think she also may have remembered that I’m not fond of rooibos, but I was fine with Alpine Punch because the rooibos takes a backseat on flavour. Anyhow, so while I wasn’t planning on getting as much tea as I did, I ended up getting a little of this along with the Alpine Punch and Amaretto (I want to do more comparing), Organic Nettles, and Buttercream (omg I can’t believe they still had some!).

I realized that I had no milk left, and opted to try it with eggnog. Yeah, not a good idea. As the concoction cooled, I got a greater juicy and creamy orange creamsicle flavour that I did not get while hot or without the eggnog. I did re-steep and use milk that DH brought home, but I think it got too weak by then.

I also think this one, by itself at least, might be a bit more rooibos-y for me than the Alpine Punch, but I think it sorta borders what I like and don’t like. I have enough for another steeping or two so, I think I’ll give it another go. I think it could have potential…if not for a hot tea, for an iced tea. I’m trying to watch my caffeine intake, especially later in the evenings, so I am trying to get a few good blends for that. Alpine Punch and Amaretto are fine, though quite similar, so I have been hoping to find a few others I like as much. This could work. I need to give it more time. And tastes.

Daddyselephant

This one is beautiful cold. And hot. Oh frig, I just love this one XD.

Plunkybug

I think it just got so juicy when it cooled off.
