From DAVIDsTEA

Stop suffering
The Ancient Greeks swore by peppermint to relieve stomachaches and (OK, let’s be frank) gas. The Romans used catnip. In India, they’re into fennel seed. In China, ginger has worked for 2000 years. Other traditional remedies include sweet stevia, which reduces stomach acid, and orange peel for bloating. This smooth blend has them all. Try it. It just might do the trick. Caffeine-free.

I quite enjoyed this tea. It was comforting with the anise and vanilla flavours. I didn’t have an upset stomach so I don’t know if it actually works to help with that but being an herbalist I do know the anise and mint would normally be helpful for digestion.

This stuff smells AWFUL before you steep it, but it’s much better when prepared. I was really wary about trying it after smelling it, but hoping for some gastric relief I did anyway, and was pleasantly surprised!

Not only is this a yummy tea, but it certainly helps with my lower digestion. (TMI time??) I suffer from severe gas once a month or so, and this tea is a wonderful home remedy.

The main ingredient in this is apparently something called apple mint. It has a bit of an odd taste compared to the peppermint I’m used to drinking. But I figured I sample this and figure out if it does what they claim. I have only started drinking my cup so that is yet to be determined.

I’ll go back and give this a number if it works for my stomach.

I brewed 3 tsp of leaf in a 16oz Teavana Glass Perfect Tea Maker/Gravity Steeper with 200 degree water for 5 minutes.

This tea is delicious and soothing. Steep longer to get a stronger taste of peppermint, ginger and orange peel. There was just a hint of ginger and fennel which was nice, it wasn’t too overpowering. This is a great tea to have after a big meal, or just before bed.

I did not like this tea. I love mint and peppermint so I am blaming the fennel.

I really like this! There’s a good mix of mint with licorice and fruit flavours, and it really helps that the whole thing is non caffeinated.

I can also really smell the mango flavouring they added, and it really rounds out the flavour, gives it some vivacity and green-ness.

I picked this up as one of my teas from DAVID’s buy 2 get 3 promotion. I’ve been looking for a caffeine-free alternative to The Skinny and I think I’ve found it. While the fennel is not the most pleasant of tastes, the tea finishes with a refreshing mint aftertaste. And I found that my stomach was definitely more settled afterwards.

We had a storm here and I couldn’t get to my local DAVID’s for the promotion :‘( Ah well, probably didn’t need another 300g of tea anyway.

Lisa Elizabeth

Oh no! Are you on the East Coast?
I was planning on getting these teas anyway so it worked out nicely for me.

Fay

Yeah, I’m in Halifax. Got you managed to get some ones you wanted though :)

Lisa Elizabeth

Oh no, I heard about that storm. I’m glad you’re okay! And they’ll have sales again :)

Only had a small sample of this when I dropped in to my store today, but it definitely intrigued me. I think I’m going to have to get a full cup to fully appreciate the taste, but I liked what I had. I never really thought about combining ginger and peppermint (with everything else that this blend has going for it).

This tea is for more than just tummy trouble. Today I have a slight sore throat and just wasn’t feeling like having any of my usual teas. I saw that I had this on the back of the shelf, and it is doing the trick today.

My stomach has been so-so for quite some time, so I decided to grab this at David’s today! On first smell, the fennel is strong. Even once steeped, the smell isn’t the greatest. However, once I started drinking it, it was not bad, and it settled my stomach. I will sacrifice taste if it settles my stomach! I had this with a little milk, no sugar.
