From DAVIDsTEA

Peace and love

Our deliciously fruity blend has its roots in the 1960s, when every cool hippie was growing kombucha. Today, hipsters are again promoting this fermented tea for its delicious taste and good vibes. We’ve combined it with oolong, mango, pineapple and safflowers to make it taste like a golden ray of psychedelic sunshine. Yeah.

Ingredients: Oolong tea, mango, pineapple, Kombucha Powder, safflower petals, artificial flavouring*.

Allergens: Gluten-free wheat starch

Yes, Drinking this made me very happy. Mainly because I have found a tea that is similar to Long Life Oolong. However, it is not as peachy or fruity. The oolong taste is more prominent and deep in this one, so that is really the only difference between the two.

I really like this tea. It has a unique flavor and every sip tastes a little different than the last. It holds up well to long brewing.

I hate to say this, but for me this tea was an honest ‘meh’ kind of moment. Smelled wonderful, but the taste for me was just murcky mango fruitiness. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either? Honestly, I didn’t hate it, but there are a ton of other blends I have liked a lot more. Just not a me kind of tea I guess!

This is a nice, mildly sweet “chill” tea. I have zero previous experience with kombucha teas, so I don’t have an advanced reference point, but what I’ve noticed from this tea is that it has a slightly tangy, soda-ish bite that almost makes me think back to Pop Rocks. It also has that distinct “red tea” flavor going on. It’s definitely sweet enough without any added sugar, and is surprisingly energizing. I drink this tea at the office in the late afternoon when the slump hits and the cravings for just. about. anything. sweet. kick in.

VERY sad that DavidsTEA don’t ship to Norway cause this one is a killer!
Or should I say a REVIVER?
Anywhooo.. It’s super tasty, even though I was expecting more of that kicking kombucha flavour (which I greatly appreciate). So sweet and gentle but still zinging!
Yum yum in my tum tum

The beginning of some backlog:

Sweet! Kind of… sour? Not really what I was expecting. It was pretty tasty, and also tastes good after sitting all day in the refrigerator. Not my ideal tea, though.

There is nothing more amusing than pouring some tea leaves into your infuser to discover a chunk of pineapple the size of your thumb. Decently pleasing tea, not one I’d buy again though. It was my first time having kombucha though, so maybe it was just the kombucha not going over well.

I LOVE THIS TEA. I bought this tea the first time I visited David’s Tea. It was the tea of the month and a 50g package was sitting near the cash so I bought it on a whim. What a great choice. It’s perfect every time – I don’t even worry about measuring. When I want something a little heavier than Green and Fruity but not so heavy as what you would get from a flavoured black tea then I turn to Happy. It really does make you feel happier. I would say this is to tea what a chardonnay is to wine – a bit fuller and richer and something many people enjoy.
