This was great ICED! It was a combo of the most unusual combinations ever, but it just made a statement and an excellent iced tea. At times it tasted a little Chai-ish ( Maybe the cardamom). but then at others it tasted tropical and so damn liberating. I found the red pepper very strange at first, but a couple gulps later, I got used to it and the combination relationship between the fruity tenderness, the cardamom and the red pepper just started to work for me. It was strange at first I have to admit that one but it was just such a statement iced tea. On the down side, I don’t think I could imagine it hot, its just such an iced summer tea. But who knows, I’ll probably try it someday…
Something that stood out about this iced tea is that it had such a great zip, bang, zoom to it, with all it had going on. A little hard to keep track of at times, but all in all a great iced tea. I’m a fan. David’s tea you never let me down =) Ps: I saw sex and the city 2, it wasnt great….

I normally don’t drink tisanes solo so I’d probably mix it w/ black tea, but this sounds SO good!

I don’t know why, but I just really really hate the flavour of lemongrass. It overpowers every tea I’ve tried with it. But that’s the only thing I dislike about this blend. In this cup, I do enjoy the spices, coconut and the orange peel but the lemongrass just shouts at my senses with each sip.

Withholding rating this because if you don’t hate lemongrass, it’s probably not a bad herbal blend. This was my last tea sample that came with my online order, so I can’t complain too much because it’s not like I ordered a big bag of it. ;)

Oh Steepster, it’s been too long. I spent some time traveling (I finally got to go to a David’s Tea, but more on that later.) and away from the internet, but now I’m back to work and regular tea drinking.

This was made to be an iced tea! I combined the first two steeps (1.5 perfect teaspoons in 14 oz. of boiling water for 5 and 10 min, respectively) and added a squeeze of honey before popping it in the fridge.

All of the flavors REALLY popped. The coconut and lemongrass were in the forefront with a sweet and spicy finish as the pineapple, cinnamon, and peppercorns made their appearance. As an iced tea, this is delectably creamy while still being refreshing. I really should have picked up some of this while I was in the store. Oh well, I have 22 new teas to try out!

We’ve fallen a bit behind on the Advent Calendar, Monday we hardly saw each other (I worked the early shift and she worked the late), so the pot of this never got made. We made it last night, and it was enjoyable enough. I’m not a big fan of the stuff, but I won’t protest if it’s available. It was light and refreshing enough to kind of clear out some of the heaviness following a dinner of Citron Oolong risotto with bacon and brussels sprouts.

dlonie

Citron Oolong risotto…now that’s something I need to try.

When I opened this one I put it into the cooking cupboard, I remember having it in the summer and spitting it out, it make me think of a chicken and rice dish, so I’ll be using this to make a Thai chicken and rice dish sometime.

So when I originally bought this I bought it to be iced, but upon smelling it I felt it would be better hot. I’ve said before certain teas should only be served one way & this smelt like a hot tea to me.

So now that we have had a few cold/rainy days I have been brewing up some hot teas. This one smells spicy & a little fruity. Once steeped it tastes deliciously spicy. On occasion at the end of the sip I get a peppery taste. Over all I get a delicious blend of spices and…. pistachios. Oh delicious pistachios with spices? Indeed that is just what this tastes like. So good, a little on the sweet side, which I could do without, but it’s still a do-able tea for me.

This is okay. I don’t think I like lemongrass? It’s got a weird taste to it and the lemon-y taste masks the rest of the flavours.

But I need something to calm me down because spoilers for the BBC Miranda finale just came out and I’m sobbing into my teacup because FEELS. This show is worse than Doctor Who because Doctor Who never claimed to be a sitcom that would RIP MY HEART INTO TINY PIECES.

…yeah I think I need another cup.

Shmiracles

i need to watch Miranda!
i saw one episode and really liked it i know that much

Valerie

oh my god you absolutely need to watch it. it’s ruined my life. we waited two years after Series 2 ended for Series 3, and of course each series is only 6 episodes long so the finale is next week and then WHO KNOWS IF IT’LL EVER COME BACK.

So Teasuce bought this over and I really liked it . I love lemongrass and coconut together, they just pair well. I had this hot with nothing added to it. I know it would be awesome iced.

I coldbrewed this one and enjoyed it. The lemon grass and coconut definitely makes me think of Thai food. For iced teas, I do prefer more fruity teas, so I doubt I’d go buy this. But I’d definitely drink it if offered!

Hot diggity. I am quite late to the exotica bus; this should have been in my cupboard ages ago. There is just something about the combination of sweet, spicy and creamy that is completely sublime. Lots of lemongrass too, which I can never get enough of. Also, this tisane made the WHOLE office smell AMAZING. Must buy more. This was a birthday present from the beau. He went on my steepster cupboard to find tea present ideas! D’awwwwwwww.
