From DAVIDsTEA

You can have it all

On the surface, this seems like a delicious organic chocolate tea with a nice hint of cinnamon. But take a closer look and you’ll find that it’s actually an arsenal of flavonoids and other immunity-enhancing compounds. That’s because it contains both green rooibos and green tea, two impressive sources of antioxidants. So while you indulge, it’s secretly fighting free radicals and other bad guys.

Interesting tea. I wanted a green tea tonight and didn’t want Lime Gelato or Movie Night so I went with this one. Not sure how I feel about it. When it was hot it was ok but once it cooled some the hints of chocolate and mint were really nice. Not sure if I will replace this one when I run out but it was pretty good. I may try it iced tomorrow and see how that is.

Had this tea over the weekend and found that it really didn’t taste much like chocolate but rather the cinnamon taste was predominant. It actually reminded me of the Glow. I still liked it but I just have to tell my brain not to expect a chocolately taste like Chocolate Rocket.

This tea is absolutely fantastic and is quickly becoming a new addiction of mine. It’s pretty much the only chocolate flavoured tea that I have tried that I have enjoyed so far. I am a huge fan of green rooibos, so the addition of it to “Super Chocolate” makes it all that more appealing.

This is THE BEST CHOCOLATE TEA I HAVE EVER HAD. And trust me… I’ve had a ton of chocolate tea in my day. However, I say this in reference to the way in which Super Chocolate USED to taste. Upon trying it recently, I have been informed that they changed the way this blend was made!

I am heartbroken.

This was the second new tea that I received yesterday, the others were just refills for tea’s that I already have, including some more mom’s apple pie before I can’t get it again!

Dry this tea has a chocolatey cinnamon aroma to it, I really like the dry smell as the chocolate aroma is that of a dark healthy chocolate not that enticing but horrible for you milk chocolate! Steeping the tea brought out more of the cinnamon aroma for me, then again cinnamon is powerful. The chocolate aroma was also very present but a bit softer.

Now we do a complete flip flop! Drinking the tea there is a very chocolatey taste to it, but that cinnamon is still there and reminds your tastebuds they are still alive. I figured for how much of a dry smell the cinnamon had it might have been a little overpowering but this wasn’t true. This one actually reminds me of chocolate chili chai in terms of flavor now that I think about it, minus the slight heat from the chili’s.

I had been really wanting to try this blend forever, but it isn’t one they keep in any of the local stores, and as far as I know it isn’t restricted to online only; however that was the only option for me to purchase it. Now that I have a 100g I am certainly going to spend some time enjoying this tea.

I was just rating Dr.Chocolate and so i wanted to try a sample of a green tea with a nice dark chocolate vibe.My Bff gave me a pouch of this and …wow..

I like this WAAAAAAY better.

Smoother, lighter, smoky and not as overwhelming as the Oolong version.

Forget what I said about Dr.Chocolate..

Next time I have a chocolate craving I’m reaching for this.

If you’re looking for a tea that tastes like biting into a Dairy Milk, this isn’t your tea. But if you want something that definitely has strong chocolate tones while still being a tea, then this is one for you. I always find that my first couple sips have me going “huh? Weird!”. But as I keep sipping the chocolate taste overpowers and I don’t remember the other notes, just the chocolate. Which is good, since that’s why I’m drinking it in the first place :)

From the ingredient list I thought I would love this tea….but I don’t. It is not something I would spit out of mouth but I wouldn’t pay money for it.
I think the cinnamon and green tea are too overpowering in this tea for me.
Sorry chocolate, you know I love you.

Ooooo chocolate tea :O I didn’t think it could work….especially not for a green/rooibos blend….but it does and I am happy ^^ It’s just the right amount of chocolate too. I think it’s the green rooibos that actually makes it work too! Creamy, sweet, and fresh is what I’d call this one. I drink this when I have a chocolate craving yet don’t want to pig on chocolate bars! The smell of it is the same from the bag to brewing it. Chocolatey and fresh! The colour is…..foggy? I suppose that’s just the chocolate bits making it do that, but that’s fine. Also, letting it cool…it tastes better to me when I do that – but not too much, I don’t like it cold. When resteeping it I find I taste more of the green tea and rooibos which is nice c:
