I sun brewed a big jug of this today and iced it, and let me say that plain ol’ green rooibos is a must-try for iced tea this summer. It’s crisp, light and extremely refreshing with a little bit of a natural fruity flavor. To make things even better, this stuff is CHEAP. I paid around twelve dollars for a full pound on Amazon. Great iced tea for summer.

You should break some of your mint with your hand and add it to your tea hot or iced! Num!

Interesting, I bought two ounces out of curiosity to taste it alone but I haven’t tried it. I’m definitely going to have to make some iced now!

If you want my opinion, I think this one tastes best with double the amount of recommended leaf. :)

This is the second straight green rooibos I’ve tried. This tastes less sweet than the one from Mountain Rose Herbs, but it’s also less astringent. It tastes mostly like hay and green growing things, with a mild sweetness and not even a hint of bitterness. It’s a very light, summery flavor. I bought this on Amazon, and it’s super cheap, but you have to buy a pound at a time. I think I like green rooibos well enough that I’ll drink it before it goes bad, but I guess now I’ll know for sure!

A nice mix of green rooibos and honeybush that tastes lighter than the traditional red rooibos. Tastes great iced.
