Aspect: Small well roled leaves with silver buds

Scents: A fruity bouquet of mango, preserved citrus fruit, apricot syrup, breadcrumb

Scents: Plant, herb and floral (orange blossom) notes to start, combined with sweet fruit notes (yellow fruit)

Texture: Supple to start, becoming powdery at the back of the mouth, giving this a wonderful length
Flavour: Sweet and slightly bitter
Aromas: A floral planty attack. Floral (rose, orange blossom), a touch of almond, fruit (citrus, apricot, sweet orange) and planty (stem, sap, raw vegetables). Fresh and stewed fruit. Very harmonious.
Aromatic profile and length in the mouth: long coumarin notes and great complexity. Very elegant, with the different fruity, vanilla/butter/brioche, floral, and planty notes

Our verdict: This second flush black tea from Soureni tea garden in Darjeeling has a sweet and slightly bitter taste that with incredible successioin of aromatic notes. The fruity bouquet makes this a truly high class second flush from Darjeeling
