From Dammann Frères

The bright, botanical and slightly astringent liquor of this Anji white tea mingles with the delicious perfume of wild berries to create a brew with an attractive golden glow and a liquor that is sweet, fresh and deliciously fruity.

Dammann Frères Advent 2021 – Day 13

Ok, I’m still not feeling great, so tea is not sparking joy right now – even a nice, bright blueberry on a green/white tea base (profile is in-between, despite DF’s label). It tastes like a combo of hay and soy beans/ something green and flat? And stuff. Sorry, tea.

Oh no! Sorry to hear that you are still suffering. May it pass quickly.

I was mostly good., but probably should’ve put off drinking the teas until my appetite fully returned. The Coconut Eggnog from 52teas was such a success yesterday despite it all that I had hoped.

Evol Ving Ness

Hmm, maybe milky or eggnogy teas would be settling?

Or maybe plain things like toast or white rice for a day or two while you get your bearings.

Dammann Frères Advent 2021 – Day 13
Totally over-steeped this one yesterday. The blueberry was there and I wanted to love it but there was a vegetal taste that didn’t work for me. Hoping my husband or daughter will give me a sip of theirs so I can try it one more time :p

Day 12 of the Dammann Freres Advent Calendar

Another type of tea I’ve never had. A white tea this time. It brews up a slightly darker color than other white teas I’ve had. White teas tend to be hit or miss for me. Sometimes they are nearly as grassy as green teas. This one had a very faint grassy note at the end of the sip as it cooled. Also a bit of astringency. But I rather like this one. It is just a little sweet on its own, with a refreshing, clear flavor. The berry flavor comes across pretty well. It adds a little tang to the sip. Not sour, just refreshing. I think this one might be very good iced on a hot day.
