From da.u.de

This mild bodied and refreshing herbal blend was inspired by my stay at Dar Seffarine in Fes. Owners Kate and Alaa were the first to introduce me to a mixture of Verbena and The à la menthe.

Lemon Verbena, Organic Peppermint, Marigold, Violet, Jasmin, and European Organic Rose.

Herbal. Caffeine free.

Steeping time: 7 minutes

Tip: Brew with some gunpowder green tea and drop cubes of white sugar for a true Moroccan experience.

WOW! I really thought I posted a review for this already…Oops!

Anyhow…here goes!

Again, I’m totally LOVING the tins/labels as I do the others from da.u.de. You can clearly see all of the ingredients moreso the Lemon Verbena and Peppermint. The other ingredients are NOT hard to find but are more of a sidekick than leader or in the forefront. It has a very mild but pleasant smell. Very relaxing and pretty.

I can taste the peppermint but it’s not overly loud. I like peppermint and usually the more the merrier but this work perfectly in with the other ingredients! It’s a little minty but mellow and sweet and lemony but not too much so. I can pick up a little floral but, again, it works PERFECTLY with the other ingredients!

I must say…I am VERY happy with this mixture of happy herbal goodness! It’s beautiful in EVERY way! I thought I might enjoy it because of the minty-goodness but honestly – it’s everything else it pairs with that makes it THAT good. I am shocked at just how much I like it…FAB!

I’m also curious about this tasting tip with adding Gunpowder and Sugar Cubes…eventho I don’t do sugar in my tea/tisanes…I just might expand my horizons!

Seffarine…I LOVE YOU!

You’d be pleased that I reformulated this a bit and added more spearmint! ;) I’m enjoying the reviews for the soft launch. And I appreciate the feedback very much so. Thanks for helping to perfect da.u.de blends!

This is probably the prettiest tisane I’ve ever seen. Nice big, fluffy flower chunks.

It seemed a little mint heavy, but the floral combo behind it was a nice sensory experience. Still licking my lips to figure out what all was there, even after the cup was finished. My senses are dulled (heavy, heavy stress at work … fretting a bit about elder care issue after mom’s surgery) so it was nice to have something else to think about for a bit.

Jenn

I like the sound of that stress-zapping blend! Hang in there. I understand elder care issues very, very well.

Thanks, Jenn. I was genetically loaded with daughter guilt :) I may have to load up on comforting herbals over the next few weeks!

Hang in there! Give yourself a break. I didn’t give myself one and it would have been much better if I had!
